Brought for my porch to replace old fluorescent one. Looks good, light output nice

its OK plastic feel the light it gives it and good temperature i wouldn't but gain as i have seen better for the same money, it is cheap so cant really complain, i don't like the shape of the diffuser may be i'm fussy

I really like this light unit. It isn't something I would necessarily put in the bedroom though, so the tiny holes that gives a shimmering effect won't make that much of a difference. I think this is an ideal unit for something like a home study room. I have actually put it in the utility room, next to our kitchen. It took me very little time and effort to put up and is really bright. A good looking, good quality unit at a very low cost. Well recommended.

First of all, let us not forget that this light retails for under £15 at the time of review. I like many things about it, and when installed it performs well and looks more expensive than it actually is. The perforated/decorative light cover makes it sparkle a little and adds to the overall look of 'quality'. Obviously this makes it unsuitable for a bathroom where moisture ingress would be a problem. The LED's look like a very modern design, bearing some resemblance to bubble wrap in appearance. There is even the prospect of them being replaceable as a consequence. And they emit a good spread of light... 'daylight' in my case. It's very lightweight, and were it something you were not going to fit on the ceiling, it might be an issue. On the ceiling though, less weight is a bonus. And the supplied fittings and instructions (in English) were all good. Now to the bad bits: Firstly, the terminal block supplied is too small to accept two cables at once, as will almost always be found in light fittings. My solution was to replace the terminal block with a bigger one. Not ideal. Secondly, the light emits a discernible 'hum'... I've tried to capture this on a video clip with this review. I think, for the money, it's still a good buy... but know its shortcomings before you buy. For the price, recommended.

Review is for 12W/900Lm lamp as was sent wrong one via Amazon Vine but decided to keep it and use in the Garage ( Amazon are currently quoting 2 are available ) Pros Compact Size of 235mm Diameter ( 18W version is 285mm ) Low Power Consumption of 12W ( 18W Version is 18 watts ) Both Sizes 12W and 18W are 60mm Deep. I ordered 4000K which i think is best for Kitchens and garages. Good Instructions , in Good English and Readable . IP20 Rated LED light. Cons Its a little Odd that the Options did not quote a 12W Unit . ( but this was Sent anyway ) I think that the 900 Lumens for the 12W unit is a little Low for the Average Room, the 18W Unit produces 1440 Lumens which would have been better. At £15 for the 18 watt version is Good Value , but the 12 watt version is a little bit more than Normally you would expect. I think the 18 watt Unit would have made 4 or 5 Stars I hope this Helps Best Regards B.H.

(Review is for 12W/900Lm lamp as was sent wrong one via Amazon Vine but decided to keep and use elsewhere as 18W/1400Lm lamp no longer available at the time) Very light weight but looks good, especially once mounted. Nice and easy to instal. There are 3 holes in the base plate peripherally but others could be made with a drill if different positions preferred. Surprisingly, no screws or plugs are provided which did not bother me as I have loads but might irritate some people. The mains cable (Live, Neutral AND Earth - as base plate is metal) goes through a white rubber grommeted hole to a standard screw-type connector. The cover then simply twists on. It looks good, both off and on and the 900lm 4000K light is perfect for a small toilet but would have been a little dim for the bathroom for which the larger size was intended. I'm not so sure about the tiny clear dots on the diffuser. They make it appear more interesting when off but if you look directly up at the light when switched on they can make the LEDs more obvious. However, where mine is sited you have to specifically look directly up at it to see that.

I got this for the cupboard in my hall where the hoover and other associated junk live. The fact that the light is a bit bigger than the norm appealed to me and I have to say it is a very decent light. Wiring it up is very straight forward although if you only have a short length of mains cable available it might be a bit of a faff as the hole through the (metal) backplate is relatively tight. The light that it gives off is cool daylight and not too bright as some LED units can be. Its very lightweight and the shade is a bit bendy but once its on the ceiling that is hardly an issue. Not much else to say other than its a nice light. Theres lots of tiny clear spots in the surface of the shade that makes it look sparkly like quartz (sort of) - much too fancy for a hall cupboard, but thats how I roll these days...
