A POWERFUL NOT TO BE MISSED MUST READ
Disclaimer: HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you read Code Name: Aries as these two books run simultaneously which is absolutely awesome. Readers were introduced to MOSIAC in Linear Tactical’s BLAZE” and again in “ARIES”, and thus we know it is a reviled disgusting villainous group of beyond evil-doers that Zodiac Tactical had been eliminated once before by Ian DeRose, Zodiac’s founder, when Ian’s brother and the driving force behind MOSIAC was killed. Only it is back with more than one head and worse than before. As fans of JANIE CROUCH’S series are aware, MOSIAC is into gene and mind altering experiments. How would Zodiac cut down this new monster? Only Janie Crouch!Harrison “Sarge” McEwan, Code Name Virgo, former Navy SEAL, is the #2 at Zodiac Tactical. Zodiac Security contracts to governments and private as is needed and goes all over the globe. While on assignment in Prague, Sarge encounters a teenage pickpocket, Bronya Roch, whose American Lit professor and father are no longer living. They have left her with a love of reading especially SE Hilton’s THE OUTSIDERS. Two years later, once again in Prague, Sarge saves Bronya and gives her a card which sends her to a new life in Paris and Zodiac. There she trains and becomes Bronwyn Roche an operative.Only someone in MOSIAC targets Bronwyn, kidnaps her and retrains her into one of their “robots” complete with cued words, a necklace with drugs she must self inject, the ability to kill as cued without remorse and endure punishments which would kill a normal person. Can these horrific genetic imbalances be engineered back? Can Bronwyn be saved if Sarge can find her, after she tries to kill him? And are there more young women out there like Bronwyn?Who is behind this? Why Bronwyn? MS CROUCH let’s us in on why ARIES is targeted in both books. But why Bronwyn? That takes longer. Can Sarge really trust her? Does she really actually hear Sarge’s voice talking to her or is that her drugged imagination? What is real? Should WE trust as Sarge does? Crusty, not good with people. Seriously Sarge?MS CROUCH introduces us to wonderful new characters and we meet old friends all of whom we look forward to seeing again. Jenna, Matt, Landon. Mark, Lucas, Evelyn in a continuation of the Zodiac Series and her new Montana Series. This is her longest novel and thank goodness as it was needed. It is perhaps her most powerful. Bronwyn makes you cry, breaks your heart, hold your breath and wonder as Sarge does so often, when does the human spirit simply break? “I can’t anymore” “Let me go, please.” You, as the reader will hope for the HEA. My favorite part? When Bronwyn wanted to break the nose of…! I literally fist pumped the air and yelled “you go girl!!”MS CROUCH—- You hit this one out of the park. Sarge, Bronwyn are incredible characters. Mac, Cheese, Peanut Butter & Jelly!

A definite must read book and series
This was an intriguing story with many intense, complex, and suspenseful twists that will hook you from beginning to end. Although this book contains some of the same situations as the first book, it was artfully added in a different POV, which prevented it from becoming repetitive, as well as giving a different perspective of the events. The author did a fabulous job of creating two stories that were happening almost simultaneously, including most of the same characters and situations, but felt entirely different from one another. I can't wait to see where the series goes from here!!I would definitely recommend this book, series, and outstanding author.

Sarge and “Pony Girl’s” Hard Fought Journey To HEA
This is the second installment to Zodiac Tactical Rescue Unit series. The heart wrenching and disturbing tale of the evil and sadistic experimentation of mind control on helpless young women continues to unfolds. This story is virtually a retelling of the course of events in Book One only from the perspective of Harrison “Sarge” McEwan and Bronwyn, aka “Pony Girl.”The story is powerful, gripping and emotionally unsettling. Ms. Crouch unmercifully details the horrors Bronwyn ensured at the hands of Erick and Dr. Tippen after a difficult youth at the hands of Nikolai in Prague. The emotionally hardened alpha, Sarge, has a soft, caring side for Bronwyn. He most definitely wore his heart on his sleeve when it came to his “Pony Girl.” The nickname was coined after they discussed a favorite novel they both enjoyed as avid readers entitled, “The Outsider” by S.E. Hinton.I loved this story. There is an unending depth of character development and one can’t help but want only the best for both of them. As in Book One with Aries and Wavy, Sarge too devotes all of his time to help Bronwyn heal and once again become her best self. The Resting Warrior Ranch scenario was touching. This passage from the story best describes Sarge’s commitment to, and love for, Bronwyn. “Her broken pieces were the most beautiful part of my life, and I would treasure each and everyone for the rest of my life.”This story would have earned five stars instead of four, if only we could have moved past the events in the first book earlier. It wasn’t until very close to the end that we add to the events that concluded book one. Other than that, the writing was stellar, as usual, and I would recommend this book. Can’t wait for Landon’s book release to delve into the next installment in the series.

way different than the first
I got really attached and interested in Sarge and Bronwyns story while reading Code Name Aries and despite not being the biggest fan of that book I kept at the series for the other characters I was interested in.If you felt the same about that book let me tell you it is beyond worth it to keep reading. This book was great, it still had time jumps but they made sense and the gaps in between you aren’t left so clueless as those gaps had been filled already in Code Name Aries. This book was everything I wanted and more, the relationship between the characters was authentic and the chemistry so real. The suspense and mystery kept me up at all hours of the night to finish and find out what happened next.

Code Name: Virgo
I lost count at how many times I said "Oh no!" while reading this book. An amazing story and I had difficulties putting the book down when real life interfered with my reading... sigh... I am very much looking forward to the next in the series...

Brilliant & intense read!
Wow! Bronwyn and Sarge's story is everything and more. Code Name Virgo is the 2nd book in what is shaping up to be a truly excellent new series from Janie Crouch. We learned snippets of their story in the first book Code Name Aries but nothing that detracts from this their full story from their perspective with all its drama, heartbreak, suspense and thrilling tension. It's not a story for the faint-hearted it is intense and completely gripping. Sarge offers Bronwyn a way out of a hellish life and she grabs it. They have a connection from the beginning but Sarge is all too aware of their age difference and he wants Bronwyn to have the freedom of her own choices but their pull and link to each other is instinctual. They are incredible characters, Bronwyn suffers horrifically at the hands of an evil group, she shows incredible courage and strength, doing what she has to to survive and a huge part of that is Sarge giving her hope. Gruff, loner Sarge never expected to have Bronwyn in his life but once the connection is made he never gives up on her when other doubt, determined to find her and protect her.An absolute love story at its core, this is a powerful story that will pull at your emotions.

Ok Read
Ahhh I love this author!! Her Linear Tactical Series is a fond favourite of mine, I enjoyed the first book of the new Zodiac Tactical Rescue Unit Series, however for some reason this book fell flat for me, I just couldn’t connect with the characters.Ian DeRose, head of Zodiac was hardly in it, his story from book 1 was running alongside Sarge and Bronwyn story, so I started skipping pages that were already familiar from the first book, it just seemed to be missing the “team” aspect found in most stories by this author.

worth the wait
I took some time to start this series until both Zodiac and resting warrior are well underway so I didn’t have to wait between books! I knew this would be good with the insight from the Linear guys but wow! The mental twists , control, evil plus saucy bits is all done with skill throw in alpha guys, strong women bringing them to their knees oh and an alpaca or two who could resist - amazing highly recommend suggest reading in order and for max effect read Linear first! Happy reading
