HyperX QuadCast Rouge

I have been fighting with a proper studio condenser mic for maybe 7 years now because I found it hard to believe that a USB mic could ever compare. Turns out, I was an idiot. After having to constantly struggle with incompatibility and needing new drivers with my old Focusrite mic, this thing, this absolutely gorgeous mic, plugged into my PC and worked instantly. No setup needed, no tweaking required. It literally was as simple as plugging it in and using it. Perfect straight out the box. It comes with absolutely everything you need. A shock mount that not only fits, but also perfectly matches the overall aesthetic, and even a mount for arm stands. I actually bought two of them on a whim. One for me, one for my wife, who was desperately in need of a proper mic. I got one for myself at the same time since I was fed up with my Focusrite. Best impulse purchase I've made in a while. The single complaint I could make about this mic is that it needs a pop filter. Every mic I've ever seen needs one when you get down to it, so that doesn't even warrant a star being taken off. The tap feature is amazingly nice. I love that it shuts off the light so I know it's off, which also lets the mic remain unobtrusive when not in use. The sound quality is genuinely insane. You won't be able to tell just how good it is if you test with Discord or anything like it. Using a normal audio recorder, though, shows just how crystal clear everything sounds. It's absurd to me how outstandingly stellar the quality is. This sounds perfect for professional narration. I haven't tested anything like singing, but I know it doesn't peak at the slightest spike in volume, has a built in sensitivity dial, and handles everything from a whisper to some energetic communication with ease. If I had to recommend a mic to someone for starting anything with VA on a budget, this is absolutely what I'd recommend. I am still reeling from the fact this is so cheap, so aesthetically nice to look at (it helps that a lot of my stuff happens to be the same shade of red), and so high quality. I spent over 200$ on my focusrite setup years ago and was constantly fighting against its issues from day 1. With this, I plugged the cable into a port and was already set. I just slid a 6$ pop filter over it and could not possibly be happier. As a warning, if you do have something like a loud AC, it will still pick it up. It's not magic, just incredibly high quality. That being said, it has directional input, meaning if the AC is BEHIND the mic, it shunts an astounding amount of sound. This mic is seriously a bargain for anybody, not just gamers wanting that gorgeous red glow. If this is in your budget and you're on the fence, absolutely go for it. This thing is just the best.

Price, quality, pop filter, tap to mute....everything is perfect!! It does turn on upon PC start up, which could be annoying for some but you just tap to mute or turn it off no big deal. It picks up on even the small noises, for example we record clicks and it clearly records them well. It's big, so you'll want to have decent desk space, it looks awesome though! I do like that it doesn't have the tripod stand so it doesn't tip over at all, it's sturdy and has some weight to it.

Works really well, really good sound quality (multiple options), its a bigger mic so keep that in mind, not flimsy very durable.

Lo primero que destaca es su diseño. Es un micrófono muy atractivo visualmente, con su filtro antipop integrado y la luz roja que se enciende cuando está activo. Además, tiene una función de mute táctil en la parte superior, que es súper conveniente. Solo tienes que tocar la parte superior del micrófono para silenciarlo, y la luz se apaga, lo que te permite ver de inmediato si está muteado. En cuanto a la calidad de sonido, es espectacular. Capta la voz de manera clara y nítida, sin ruidos de fondo molestos. Además, tiene varios patrones de grabación (cardioide, omnidireccional, bidireccional, y estéreo), lo que lo hace muy versátil dependiendo de lo que necesites. Para grabaciones individuales, el modo cardioide es perfecto. Lo único a destacar es que si quieres mas calidad puedes ahorrar 30 dólares mas para el Shure pero con esto estoy mas que feliz

I've use this for a few weeks and it's definitely an improvement over my old Solocast I had for about 2 years, so sound quality is terrific. It looks aesthetically pleasing and with a wind muff it looks as nice. I got it at a discounted price and it's definitely worth it. All you do is plug it in and let it do it's magic so it's relatively easy to use. It's fairly lightweight so you can easily place this on a microphone stand with no disadvantage. One thing that I disliked is that unlike the Solocast this has zero drivers, the Quadcast S has it which bums me out a little bit. But overall this microphone is great!

Compré este micrófono ya que el mío se rompió el día anterior. Llegó con rapidez y a tiempo. Referente al micrófono por ahora solo tengo buenas palabras. Puedes regular la ganancia de tu voz, la entrada y demás. Pesa lo suficiente para ponerlo en un brazo extensible pero además viene con una base pesada para ponerlo en el escritorio directamente. Bastante recomendable.

Tiene muy bien alcance, en una sala grande, donde sea que esté la persona, se escucha muy claro, agregando que el diseño es bastante moderno, práctico y bonito.
