I originally bought a SanDisk High Endurance card for my dash cam because, well, it literally says High Endurance on it. Surely that means it is a good choice for something that records constantly, right? Apparently my dash cam disagreed. About 2 months later I started getting errors and beeping, and eventually I was pulling the card out and reinserting it just to get the camera recording again. I replaced it with this VIOFO Industrial Grade card and have not had a single issue since. The thing I underestimated is just how abusive a dash cam is to an SD card. It is constantly writing and overwriting footage, potentially recording multiple 4K camera feeds, all while sitting inside a car that can get ridiculously hot. This card is actually designed around that kind of continuous recording. 256GB is also a nice amount of storage because you get plenty of footage before loop recording starts overwriting older files. Is it more expensive than grabbing a random 256GB card? Yep. But the entire purpose of a dash cam is to have footage when something goes wrong. Saving a few bucks on the one component responsible for actually storing that footage suddenly seems pretty silly. My cheaper card lasted 2 months. I put this one in and basically forgot SD card errors were even a thing. That alone makes it worth it to me.

I'm glad I didn't try a another brand because it formatted perfectly with no problems and and is built to withstand the heat of a dash cam. I don't need the headaches of an off brand. If you got a great web cam, don't cut it short with a cheap card. Very pleased and highly recommended, no problems whatsoever!

It works properly

If you have a VIOFO dash cam, they essentially make it so that you HAVE to buy this card for it to work properly, and it certainly does. I’ve had no issues with my dash cam since pairing it with this card. I have no issues with VIOFO making a card exclusively for their cams, but they are VERY expensive. Definitely worth it, just be prepared for the price tag.

The microSD chip in my Toyota dash cam failed and this is an exact replacement. Now working well and the annoying alarm has been silenced.

I have been using it for a few weeks now and so far it has worked exactly as expected. Setup was straightforward. I inserted it into the dashcam and it was recognized immediately without any formatting or compatibility issues. Recording has been stable until now with no corrupted files, random errors, or recording interruptions. That alone matters a lot for a dashcam since you do not want to find out later that footage was not saved properly. The packaging was clean and the card itself feels like a quality product. The 128GB size also feels like a good middle ground for storing enough footage without constantly worrying about space. My main complaint is the price. It definitely costs more than many regular microSD cards with similar storage capacity. I understand this one is marketed for dashcam use and continuous writing, but it is still worth checking if there are cheaper alternatives available before buying. Overall, I would give it 4 stars. No problems so far, and it seems reliable for daily dashcam use. I think it makes the most sense for people who already own a VIOFO dashcam and want something officially compatible without having to experiment with third-party cards.

The best micro SD for Viofo dashcams. Easy to install, I’m sure they will release a 1 TB option sooner or later. I have had no problems since installing, and even though it can be self-installed, I would recommend finding an installer. The recording and video quality are on point.
