Good and solid, makes the sofa bed really comfortable

This product does exactly what it is meant to do. The thickness of the reinforced wood boards, within the protective covering, make it impossible to feel the crossbars inside the sleeper frame. The product boards run perpendicular to the frame, and are easy to place/remove. The support board folds like a fan, making it easy to store, taking up little closet space. We experienced no sliding of the mattress on the protective cover. Between the two of us, about 400 pounds was on the bed, and both of us were comfortable. Would purchase again.

This sofa bed board has provided me with unexpected comfort and back pain relief. As the 73 year old 24/7 female caregiver of my 80 year old disabled husband, I must sleep outside his room on a full-sized sofa bed, in case he needs my quick-care medical assistance. My year old sofa bed’s 3” gel mattress has been relatively comfortable, until recently. The underwire and mesh mattress support has begun to lose its firmness, since I am daily using the bed for sleep. I decided to order a twin size bed board instead of a full sized one, since I only sleep on one side of the sofa bed. This twin size board is easy to remove from the bed when I need to return the sofa to its regular couch configuration. The board is not intended to remain in the sofa bed when not in use. I then reduce the size of the bed board into its original 3 panel fold up position & store it nearly into a nearby vertical space. I must say that I am very pleased with this product and would recommend it to anyone who makes periodic or regular use of a sofa bed & wishes to have increased mattress support. PS please make sure you measure your sofa bed and order the size appropriate for your usage.

Works for us, read below, as we didn't buy it for a sofa bed We got an old mattress which is high quality and cost almost 3k yearsss back, and finally it started showing some sagging. We love our mattress to be extra firm, and at the moment can't really go buy an expensive one again and unfortunately couldn't find anything we liked for cheaper. We got an extra firm foam mattress topper to fix it (3inch height). It worked well enough, but you could still feel slight sagging under back and bum. I decided to buy this to place on top of the matress and under the topper (sandwich, so to say, and it all sits inside a waterproof mattress cover do nothing is sliding anywhere). Our mattress is queen size, this fits perfectly width wise. As for length, obviously you don't need it to cover the whole thing as it sags under or back/bum area only. But having said that, we placed the boards about 25 cm lower than the top of the matress (and it has 55cm left to the end of the matress), as it felt more comfortable. And honestly, it feels great. The foam topper is now sitting straight and does its job, no sagging, and is nicely firm (I mean, in summer I often sleep on the floor because it's cooler this way, so the firner the better). Might actually never go back to whole classic mattress setup once we get rid of this one, will just get a frame, and use these boards with a topper. Super comfy. Chose hardwood over flex option as flex seems to have a slight give which we do not need.
