Looks and feels substantial. Very accurate and compared to "you know what brands" I love it when spending way way less than half and get as good of a product. Did I mentioned it was way, way, way cheaper than ".....land" ?

This was my first mitre gauage after lots of research. The price matched the quality and honestly if its not Incra it won't be square out the box. The screw for the expansion discs lost their threading which made it very hard to remove and adjust. There are only spare expansion discs with the product, no screws. Powertec customer service advised me to buy more screws, which off their website is an affordable $1, but shipping was "by weight" which came to $62 USD. Unfortunately due to this major error I was left unable to use the gauage, until i bought a replacement off Temu, and fortunately that came with extra expansion discs, which fit perfectly and worked as intended. I was really interested in powertec products, but following my experience with customer service, I will opt for other options at this price point. I will say that you can get the same gauges, fences, stops and bars for much much cheaper..

Robust and well built

I own a DeWalt DWE7485 table saw. This miter gauge could be set to zero side-to-side play for my saw, so that is good. By zero play, I mean the fit could be adjusted so that you could not even push the bar forward - and you could back off the adjustment slightly so then it could move forward. There was some dip in the nose of the bar as you pushed forward - better than the JessEm Mite-R-Excel II, which dipped a lot, but not as good as the SawStop Revolution, which did not dip in my table saw. Ultimately, I did not keep this product as there was something better for my particular saw and my wants, but I could see people being satisfied with this product. If I see POWERTEC on other products I would consider purchasing them based on my positive experience here. If numbers are helpful, test cuts measured by a digital angle gauge were getting a variance of .3 to .6 degrees to the miter gauge's settings. Adjusting the blade of the table saw could have given even greater precision, and that may be recommended upon first setup if you desire more precision as this miter gauge has no Vernier scale at the time of this writing. I noted the instructions say to refer to an addendum when assembling the flip stop. This tells me they are thinking ahead and when they some day include a micro adjuster or other features to their flip stop they will not have to modify the instructions for the main unit. The instructions were short yet easy to understand. Very positive experience overall.
