Is this marble effect on top or the bottom as one of the review says? Can I see the marble pattern when I'm cutting?

It’s on the bottom but yes you can see it. It’s a very pretty cutting board.

Can it be put in the dishwasher?

I haven’t tried it. I just wipe it off.

Set of 1? Is that a typo? Should it be set of 10? (Set requires more than a single or 1 piece)

Typically, "set of" indicates "number of" pieces, when ordering things, though not how we would normally speak. The boards I ordered were different, and contained 5 different boards as noted in size descriptions of each. written as a "set of" 5
