It worked for me
I used this with the air tag. I found that the material of the wallet and the material of the phone case reduced the magnetic attraction a bit. If the phone is in a tight pocket when you remove it, the wallet may slide off. That happened to me recently when out walking the dog. I got home and couldn't find my wallet. I used 'FindMy' and it showed the last location was about 300m away from the country track I used earlier in the day. The following day I followed the find my map to a building on the estate where I had been walking and asked if a wallet had been found, and it had c/w cards. So it works, I now need to sharpen up my phone settings to make sure that I get a good notification when left behind.
