This stuff really, really works! I recently put a rose gold demi permanent color on my hair. I tried a new brand that is highly rated over my usual Basic Instincts. I was very unhappy when most of the color, especially on top was gone after 2 weeks. The soonest you can re apply color is at 6 weeks, but I usually wait at least 3 months. I was thinking my hair was going to look awful for 2.5 months. I got this radiant red shampoo & conditioner by John Frieda. After the very first wash my hair had evenly distributed color all over. After the second wash, my color was as dark, if not darker than it was after the first day I colored it! I think most of the color lays down in the conditioner, but both the shampoo & conditioner are red coming out of the bottle. I will definitely use this anytime my color is fading. I was already a fan of JF blonde products. My natural color is blonde. I honestly wonder if coloring is even necessary with this product. I am going to try it alone next time I want to go from blonde to red. Highly recommend.

I prefer products with natural ingredients, but I needed a shampoo and conditioner set that would deposit enough red to keep my dyed hair bright and shiny without weighing it down. I have long, straight, fine hair, so a lot of products will make it look greasy or flat. This product did neither. Instead, it helps my hair stay redder longer, and it makes it shiny and sleek. I also use a detangler afterwards, so that helps. The scent isn't overpowering or unpleasant, and I can't smell it in my hair after showering. My hairdye itself does not contain natural ingredients, so I can't really gripe about that. Plus, it's affordable and makes hair feel very silky. I return a lot of products that don't live up to their reviews, but both this shampoo and conditioner are pretty straightforward. I'm sure there are other products out there that deposit more red or have healthier ingredients, but they're likely FAR more expensive. Also, I think the key with using these is that a little goes a long way. I really don't need more than a dime size dollop per use of either the shampoo or the conditioner. People with curly or thicker hair will likely need more.

I am a natural redhead and as I have gotten older and had hormonal changes I have started to lose some of the red in my hair. I also have dry, frizzy, wavy/curly crazy hair. This shampoo and conditioner work well for my hair, I just wish it had more color depositing power. It does help tame my hair, but there is not much color depositing. I will still continue to use it, until I find something better. I dont want to dye my hair and red is a very hard color to match/keep. JF used to have a red hair gloss that was great and cant find it anywhere anymore. I have tried so many and none compared to JF's. Bring it back JF!!!!

I have natural red hair and as I’ve turned 50, I’ve noticed just a few white or lighter colored hairs. I’ve never colored my hair and am not ready to do so, this product has been great- just made those hairs not so noticeable but not changed my hair color either.

Love it for my colored red hair. Moisturizing and helps to keep the red color longer. Follow the instructions - leave the shampoo for a minute or two and the same for conditioner. Definitely works to keep my red for fading and washing off too fast

I have been using this for over a year. It laters up very good. I have colored treated hair so i get this to keep my red looking great!

It smells amazing. I haven’t noticed a difference in my hair color. It did make my head dry and very itchy so that sucked

My granddaughter uses this because she dyed her hair red and it works wonderful. She loves it. It leaves her hair nice and fresh with a nice clean smell.
