I inherited my love of pepper from my father, who routinely puts a metric ton of the stuff on his food, regardless of how much it already contains. While I exercise a little more restraint, I too find myself reaching for the pepper mill more often than most. For the last few years, I've settled for an inferior acrylic grinder which was gifted to me and I never particularly liked, so I recently decided to upgrade to this lovely wooden model. Am I happy with my choice? Very much so. Small, yet perfectly formed, this attractive mill crushes peppercorns with ease and is far more pleasing to the eye, being crafted from pale rubber wood rather than tacky clear plastic. The design is simple but classic, and it feels reassuringly robust in the hand. Refilling is a breeze, and operation is smooth and effortless. I doubt I'll be replacing this fantastic product anytime in the near future.

The media could not be loaded.  The DeroTeno Pepper Mill arrives in a plain cardboard box and the mill is the only contents. Apparently it's made from rubber wood and all I can say is that it looks very smart indeed, the rubber wood being a nice blonde/pale wood.The wood is nicely polished, with no rough edeges, and the overall design is sleek and modern. I also like the size of the pepper mill - it sits comfortably in the hand and the two horizontal grooves just add a little detail to the form.To fill the mill you simply unscrew the small metal cap/tp (which has a letter "P" engraved on it) and then pour the peppercorns into the opening. When you replace the small metal cap you can adjust the grind of the pepper from very fine through to a nice coarse grind by turning clcokwise/anti-clockwise as required. We prefer a coarser pepper and the DeroTeno Pepper Mill was able to be set perfectly for our preferences.There's not much else to say, other than we really like this manual pepper mill. We also like electric ones too but in our experience they tend to fail after a while whereas manual ones like this should last for a very long time. It looks excellent quality and would grace any dining table. Good value for a nicely made product.

I use a lot of freshly ground black peeper and since my last grinder cracked and stopped working I have been relying on the supermarket pepper containers that come complete with a grinder.These are OK as a stopgap but work out more expensive than just buying the peppercorn refills and although they can be re-used they soon start to lose their grinding power and then it becomes a real workout in order to get any ground pepper out of them. So when I saw this I had to try one.This mill is made from a nicely turned and finished rubber wood which is a durable hard wood, not on a par with oak but pretty resilient. It feels very nice in the hand due to it's contouring and polish and is finished off with a nice brass top screw that is easy to unscrew for filling purposes.One slight disappointment was the capacity. I could only get about three quarters of my usual supermarket size grinder in this but there is a larger size available.In use I was genuinely shocked about how easy it was to produce pepper from this mill. Hardly any effort at all was required and I quickly finished peppering my roast dinner. It really was a pleasure to use and felt like a Rolls Royce in operation.On thing of note here, the vendor states that rotating the top clockwise will produce a fine grind whilst turning the top anti clockwise will produce a coarser grind. With the mill I have it is the opposite ! Turn clockwise for coarse and anti clockwise for fine. (see pic) Whatever, it is easy to produce the two different consistencies of pepper without having to adjust anything on the grinder, just turn the top in the required direction. Simple !For anyone wanting a fairly compact pepper mill I think this represents good value for money and is very good at what it does in a nice easy fashion with minimal effort. It seems well made and should be durable but time will tell how the actual grinding mechanism stands prolonged usage.

I'm really pleased with this pepper mill. It's not the biggest, but easily large enough for my needs. It's made from a nice smooth wood with a good weight to it, it's easy to fill, and the adjustable grind is really useful (I like a coarse grind and it delivers that really well). Looks attractive on the table and has a slightly wider base, so good stability without being too cumbersome. I got it to replace a Le Creuset pepper mill which was far more expensive, felt flimsier and broke within the year. I think this is a really good buy.

Easy to use and a small size. This is wooden and has an easy-to-use grinder. Unscrew the top and put in your peppercorns and screw back in. It has an easy movement not at all stiff. You can adjust it to the size you want it to grind. A nice pepper grinder

This pepper mill grinds the peppercorns effortlessly, giving restaurant type flakes of pepper on your food. You can actually feel how sharp it is when it is used, with a comforting crunch of the peppercorns. The wooden structure of the mill is very impressive, feels really nice in hand, and would not look out of place on any dinner table.I do like the really tall pepper mills, as a bit of a statement piece, but nonetheless this smaller mill offers a great all round package, either for yourself or as a gift.

So far this pepper mill seems to be a decent standard, with a mechanism that can be set pretty tight for finer grinding. It’s relatively compact and timeless, a bit more forgiving than shiny steel of greasy fingers or food splashes while cooking and hopefully will last a lot longer that the plastic mills I’ve had.

Solid little pepper mill, looks great on the table and it works great. Grinds nice and smooth and the adjustment mechanism actually makes a difference with small turns as opposed to some grinders that you have to turn many times.

Este molinillo de madera, nada más cogerlos en la mano, se aprecia que es robusto y resistente. Está fabricado en madera que sin ser noble, se aprecia de cierta calidad y suave. El diseño es más bien clásico pero con líneas rectas que le da un aire moderno y bonito.El mecanismo es de acero inoxidable para moler la pimienta. En la parte superior tiene un cierre metálico con la P de pimienta grabada. El cierre va roscado y cuanto más se apriete (sin pasarse para evitar dañar las cuchillas) la molienda resultante será más fina. En las fotos sobre la tabla se puede observar el resultado de diferentes ajustes. Desde el más fino hasta el más grueso.Tienen un tamaño muy compacto, 17 cm de alto, perfecto para llevarlo hasta a la mesa, aunque también pueden tener una doble funcionalidad como elemento decorativo en la cocina.⚠️ Importante prestar atención a las recomendaciones y modo de uso que se indican en la descripción ya que en el paquete no se incluyen ningunas instrucciones. Als Produkttester liebe ich Naturmaterialien und habe mich für diese Pfeffermühle entschieden. Ich brauche nämlich eine :) Eigentlich auch eine Salzmühle, aber leider gibt es die nicht zum Testen. Die Salzmühle ist deshalb jetzt auf meiner Wunschliste. Ich werde dir berichten, wieso ich diese Mühle so gut finde:Da es noch keine Fotos bezüglich Qualität des Mahlwerks und des Innenlebens der Mühle gibt, habe ich dir davon Fotos geschossen.Pro:- sehr schönes Design, liegt sehr gut in der Hand und ist aus leichtem Holz- das Mahlwerk macht einen sehr guten und soliden Eindruck (siehe Foto)- ich bin zufrieden mit der "feinsten" Mahlstufe. Zwar gibt es Mühlen, die fast Gewürzsand produzieren können, aber ich mag es lieber, wenn noch winzig kleine Pfefferstückchen im gemahlenen Gewürz enthalten sind- falls irgendetwas sein sollte, lässt sich die Mühle unkompliziert aufschrauben, säubern und wieder zusammensetzen. Die Konstruktion wirkt stabil, ebenso das Innenleben (siehe Fotos)- die Mühle riecht ein bisschen nach Holz, was wirklich wunderbar ist :)Contra:- die Mühle ist bei mir leider mit wackeligem Mahlwerk angekommen, weshalb ich sie überhaupt erst aufgeschraubt habe. Es stellte sich heraus, dass bei meiner Mühle nicht so präzise gearbeitet wurde und eine Schraube das Holz abgesplittert hat und dadurch "in der Luft hing", statt fest im Holz zu sitzen. Ein ordentliches Festschrauben war dadurch nicht mehr möglich. ALLERDINGS ist durch das gute Design und das hochwertige Holzmaterial eine Ausbesserung direkt möglich gewesen. Ich habe einfach zwei andere kleine Löcher gebohrt, an anderer Stelle. Jetzt sitzt alles bombenfest.- es ist ein bisschen Plastik verbaut :( Stabiles Plastik, aber trotzdem. Und dann noch so unnötig, denn das hätte man auch aus Edelstahl anfertigen können. Dies werde ich beizeiten auch tun, denn dann wird die Mühle sehr lange halten wegen des ansonsten hervorragenden DesignsFazit: Großartig! Kleiner Mangel, der sich ohne Probleme beheben ließ, weshalb es keinen Stern Abzug gibt. Qualität super, preislich unschlagbar bei der tollen Qualität. Überwiegend aus Edelstahl und Holz (top!) - für mich als Naturmaterialien-Liebhaber die beste Mühle in dieser Preisklasse. Klare Empfehlung - sogar als Geschenk würde ich sie wählen. Mich stört ein bisschen das Plastik, aber hey, wir reden hier von einer Mühle unter 20€. Gern wieder

Este es pequeño y muy práctico y cabe en el cajón de las especias (para mi era casi lo más importante).Es muy fácil de rellenar y tira más cantidad de pimienta que con el típico pimentero desechable de plástico. He colgado un vídeo donde se puede ver la cantidad que tira y lo fácil que es rellenarlo. También puedes regular según gires a derechas o a izquierdas (más fina o con granos más gruesos).Es de madera, acabado barniz brillante. En las fotos puedes ver las medidas, que son 17cm de largo y un grosor en la parte baja de unos 5,5cm.Revisando la página del producto veo que es tal cual al producto que te llega, en cuanto a color, medidas y funcionamiento. Además, te indican muy bien como debes lavarlo (con un paño, nunca mojarlo), qué hacer si se te atasca al usar especias aceitosas (simplemente muele sal o arroz).Algo importante a destacar, si eres sibarita del sabor y olor de las especias, es que el molinillo no es estanco. Eso significa, como te dicen en la página del producto, que si no lo vas a utilizar a menudo es mejor que no lo llenes a tope, porque las especias perderán el aroma.En resumen, para mi, por el precio que tiene y sobre todo porque me cabe en el cajón de las especias, es una muy buena compra.
