I needed feeders that were easy to clean and also bleach because of a terrible viral disease that appeared among our house finches, and the feeders needed to be done twice weekly. I had tray feeders and tube feeders and they were all either a lot of work to take apart, or they were wood and not able to be properly sanitized. I was so happy to find these! They're larger than other tray feeders of this type available - large enough for cardinals and woodpeckers. They are super easy to clean and sanitize. And the birds really, really love them!! They drain well when it rains, and because I clean them twice weekly, wet seed doesn't become a problem. When it snows I just scoop the snow off the top. They're very sturdy. I've seen as many as 12-14 birds on one at one time!! I've added caribbeaners to the tops to make them easier to hang. I've just purchased another set, which makes 8...so far! And they're so affordable. I think I've become the most popular bird lady in the neighborhood ;)Update: This product changed shortly after my first order, so I received a different product for my second order. I've added a photo to show the first on the left and the second on the right. The finish is faded and chipped on the left but that's because it's the version I use all the time. The second version has a cheap chain that rusted immediately verses the stainless steel rope of the original that's still in good shape. This company offers an upgraded version now that has the stainless steel rope. I'd recommend looking for that one. That said, both versions are still the most popular bird feeders I have out there!

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I chose the feeder because of the material and shape. It replaced a wooden platform feeder that was hard to clean in the corners and where the mat met the wood. This new feeder lifts off of the base, allowing for a quick wipe with a damp rag to clean it. There are no nooks for seed to get stuck in and accumulate. The drainage holes do not allow seed to slip through, so no mess. Also the feeder is the right size to discourage large birds from spending lots of time standing and pooping in it! The finish is not flaking off and is slick and easy to wipe clean. I highly recommend this feeder.

Excellent for feeding mourning doves, and other birds that prefer the ground. Its easy to attach the handles of the feeder to a carabiner and hook it to a chain link fence , put 2 clips on the tops of both sides to prevent basket from flying away during bad thunder storms. The holes in the basket help keep the food in good shape if it happens to get wet it drains quite nicely.

Simple design that'll hold the food and keep it off you balcony or porch floor. Well made, hopefully will last a long time, love the feeder plate too. It allows rain to fall through without spilling all over the deck.

The media could not be loaded. I know it sounds dramatic to say this is the best $20-ish that I have spent in a LONG time but it is true! This simple vented bird feeder dish has brought me so much delight over the last few weeks. I found it easy to clear out after a rainstorm due to the nice smooth finish. All my visitors absolutely prefer this feeder to the many others that I have. My only tiny issue is that the dish is separate from the deck clamp and metal dish holder. Rubber covered wire twists were provided and actually snugly hold the dish in place. Even in high winds. I wish that there was some sort of a clip mechanism that would hold the dish in place although the wire twists work great.
