Practical Guide to Linux Commands, Editors, and Shell Programming, A
T**N
Most of us forget the basics and wonder why the specifics don't work.
If you are new to Linux, this the absolute best and most comprehensive resource I've ever come across. LinuxAcademy.com and other computer based training websites are great, but I feel they are too passive in their approach allowing the student to watch videos and believe they are "working hard" and "digging deep" into the subject. However, this book is equally broad as it is deep and provides the most critical and PRACTICAL information any competent sysadmin should know. The info I learned from this book has been the solid base in providing me an enriching career. Whether you're considering entering the job market for a career with Linux, or you simply have an interest in using secure operating systems in 2020, Buy It Now!

One Of The Best Linux Books For Reference & Learning
Great as a desktop reference (paperback or Kindle).Easy to learn and understand for Linux beginners and a great reference for professionals.I gifted this most recent version to my 10 year old nephew (who is just starting to learn Linux) and he read it from cover to cover in a week.I have been actively using Debian for over 20 years and I still look to this book for reference every now and again. Helps me remember things too.A book that EVERY Linux user should have in their arsenal :-)-----First purchased this book as a paperback years back. Then in July 2018 I purchased it again for my nephew. Then recently (November 2018) I purchased it in digital form for my Kindle so I could take it with me everywhere.

An Indispensible Reference
Probably one of the premier reference books I can think of that covers the width and breadth of Linux, along with many important associated packages. Some of what's covered is SQL, Perl, Python, Postgre, MariaDB, utilities, shells, editors and a thorough review of the Linux Command Line interface. A veritable treasure trove of information.

great book
recommending this book very highly because the explanation is easy and the author always marked pages you can refer to. so if you are not familiar with some new concepts or commands then you can go to the page the author indicated. very kind to readers and save my time as i don't have to screen index page every time.

A whole lot of information
there is a ton of information in this book, and that makes it a great reference to have on hand. I am not a systems admin, nor do I work in the IT industry. I am however a Linux enthusiast and this book is a great help.

Good reference for linux command
I used this book as a reference when I need to know about any linux command line. It is not complete but contain a lot of information that I need to know. Its like a dictionary of linux command but you need to search for other source to full fill its information, such as command 'sudo -i' is not cover in the book.Thank,Kanel
