BEST PURCHASE EVER!!
A friend of mine had told me about her new sleep routine and after some researching Hatch, I was sold. I have had my Hatch Restore 2 for about a week and WOW, it has been a game-changer. I wake up each morning in a better mood and not so groggy. It's been a great way to wake up and ease your wake up without getting jolted awake by your typical phone alarm. The look of the Restore 2 is sleek and modern. It looks like a fancy speaker. Setting up the device is very easy with the step-by-step directions. It only took a few minutes for it to connect to my wifi. To work the device, you download the Hatch app. You can work the Restore from your phone. It is simple and easy to navigate. It is a very high quality device that is easy to use and navigate. What I LOVE about the Restore 2 is that there are two different modes, rest and rise. You can create a morning and evening routine to help you stay on track. At night, I like to listen to the calming sounds (my fav is campfire) as I read a book to wind down. The cool part of the rise routine is that you set it up like a typical alarm clock. I have an alarm set for weekdays (Mon-Fri) at 6:20 am. Multiple alarms can be set and scheduled for repeating on different days/times. This is super convenient when you are constantly on the move. It's one less thing to think about. The rise feature is my FAVORITE part about Restore 2. It is a combination of light and sound to help wake you up. There are different light settings (think of this like the sunrise) you can choose (I like morning stroll) to wake you up. My favorite sound that is the "alarm" portion is Meditative Flute. It has been the nicest sound I have ever woken up to. Since using my Restore 2, I have seen a difference in how I wake up. The light begins 30 minutes before your alarm, mimicking sunlight coming through. I have already told many of my friends what a great purchase it was! I truly can not recommend it enough. This device will elevate your sleep and have you waking up well-rested and ready to take on the day.

Such a gentle way to fall asleep and wake up! ☀️
So far, I really like my Hatch Restore 2! It’s so pretty and chic! Definitely an upgrade in comparison to just using my phone. For years, I’ve been using my phone to play a random mix of looping videos of white noise or rain when I have trouble falling asleep. And if I needed to wake up in the morning, I’d set almost a dozen back-to-back alarms to make sure I actually get up in time. It’s so much easier to go about my nighttime routine and fall asleep now. Plus, I love how many color options there are for lighting because I like having fun mood lighting before I go to bed. For the sunrise alarm, I really appreciate how gentle the alarm sounds are in comparison to some of the loud, jarring options on my phone. I also love how the light gradually gets brighter to mimic a sunrise—it’s gonna be so helpful in the winter when it’s dark and gloomy outside and I don’t want to get out of bed. One of the most surprisingly delightful features has been the Clock Display. Typically, I hate having digital alarm clocks in my bedroom because the display is so bright and distracting. I’ve set my Restore 2 up so that the clock display is always off so my room stays dark and if I need to check the time, I just tap it to see the time. It’s super simple, but very effective! If I had to offer some constructive feedback, it’d be: • Being able to connect this device to my Google Home • A longer free trial period for the Hatch Subscription (like 3-6 months instead of just 1)

Helps me so much with unwinding and sleep!
I am a senior woman and I struggle to relax to sleep at night. I have tried regular sound machines for years but they are limited and soon they provide no help as they are very boring and repetitive. I love the Hatch 2 because it not only has various sleep sounds, it has sleep stories which are my favorite! Trying to turn off my brain to relax into sleep has always been an issue. This is amazing because I can listen to a gentle story and my mind can get involved as I gently relax. I love the fact that you can choose from many colors on the display as well. You can also adjust the intensity of the color. I have never had anything that could cover so many bases as the Hatch 2! I forgot to mention that there is a wonderful morning rise program you can set to your preference. I wish I would have had something like this when I had my early jobs! But now I am semi-retired, I can still set a wonderful morning routine and choose how I can start my day! 😀 I know this machine is a little pricier than some of the others on the market, but believe me when I say you get what you pay for! This is a machine that can be adjusted and changed and has so much variety. And I also love how easy it is to adjust in my app. I have an Android phone and It connected well and stays connected. I actually can even adjust it without sitting right next to it if I want to. It's a beautiful size. Not too large to take up my nightstand space, but enough that it is a beautiful and sleek addition to my bedroom. I am very glad I purchased this and I am going to tell my family members so they can purchase their own! I can already envision my kids and grandkids getting this product for their lives. My newest great grandbaby is a bit fussy and I'll bet you that if they had one of these by the bed, the beautiful soft sounds would help soothe that baby girl! Christmas is just around the corner!

Transformed My Sleep!
I should start off by saying that even though I love sleep, it doesn't seem to always love me. I've struggled with getting restful sleep for a minute now, really since the start of the pandemic. I've bought all the pillows, switched mattresses, tried the Calm app sleep stories (shout out to the dulcet tones of Clarke Peters!), breathing exercises, all of it. I'd kind of given up on improving my sleep and was settling with my spirit that this was just my new normal. Then I was scrolling on social media and saw a friend post about Hatch. At first I was skeptical: is this another thing that they want me to buy that ain't gon' do nothing? But as I went down the rabbit hole, I started to read and watch the testimonials of folks that had bought the Restore 2, and how it had completely shifted their relationship with rest and sleep. I was intrigued. The next time I saw my friend who had originally posted about it, I asked him about it, and his effusive testimony sold me. I ordered it in the middle of the party that we were at. It arrived two days after that, and now a week later, my sleep is totally transformed! It was an easy set up, with clear instructions and, minimal, sleek packaging. I downloaded the Hatch app, and the pairing process was seamless. I was able to scroll through the different Rest and Rise options and choose my faves (I chose Rolling Thunder & Ambient Music/Tranquil Ocean for Rest and The Reset for Rise). Settling in to bed the first night, I pushed the Rest button and wasn't sure what to expect. But the soft light and gentle sounds came on, and I settled deeper into my bed. I think I was sleep in less than 30 minutes. When I stirred in the morning, the light and soft, but triumphant music greeted me. I sat up and was a little startled. I was alert, and feeling settled in my body. My mind didn't have the thick fog of fatigue on it, and my body didn't feel weary. It was a feeling that felt familiar, but distant. I was going to write it off as a fluke, maybe something that I willed into existence by my purchase haha, but night after night, I settled into bed, pressed my Rest button and woke up feeling rejuvenated! I've even been getting into the bed earlier, turning on a different colored light every night (my favorite is purple!) and winding down instead of just schlepping into the bed exhausted and doom scrolling to sleep. I've recommended it to anyone who will listen, and I hope that anyone who reads this will hurry up and push that "Add to Cart" button because I'm sure that this will be as good for you as it was for me!

Its not too late for Hatch to turn this around.
I was so impressed with this Hatch clock and was so looking forward to using it. But now I feel like I wasted my money. It all has to do with the app. They dont put the main features first, there was supposed to be three main features, sleep sounds, unwind sounds, and the sunrise / morning alarm sounds. The unwind / meditation section is behind a paywall. Yep, and you cant remove it or minimize it, it just takes up useless space and almost all the content within the premium service looks terrible. For some reason they have niche celebrities from RuPauls Drag Race reading their meditations. Like cmon this just screams a cash grab for both parties involved. This would be a way better product if you had atleast some free parts of the Unwind section, like you are literally so greedy I just spent $170 on this clock, I can get free meditations on youtube and have a free alarm on my phone. You guys think that a couple sounds are so valuable that they are worth $50 a year??? For a tiny library of mediocre sounds. The thing that angers me the most, is that after you press the "Snooze" Or Rise button on the machine, a setting called the "Morning Moment" starts playing the "Light Rain" sound, which is way louder than previously playing sound, so its a bit jarring, and you cant turn that feature off without subscribing to the service (In the moment you have to press the button for 3 seconds to stop it) But whenever you stop any sound the morning moment starts playing, even if you just stop the nighttime sound machine function. Greed has ruined this product, and I really hope that Hatch fixes this and makes their content free and more customizable, because this is ridiculous, and btw the "Morning Birds" sound isnt peaceful at all, its like 5 seconds long so its very repetitive on loop. I still have a month to return this product and i plan on doing that because its only been one day and im already frustrated with the greed and "Enshittification" of this product. Make it simpler, make the app interface better, make the product not rely on a subscription, be a product thats actually reverent to the problems that It claims to solve, inner-peace and rest. Dont shove the paid functionality in our face before the basic free functions, hide them away in a folder because we want the basic functions first anyway! I am so dissapointed.

Game Changer
I've struggled with sleep as far back as I can remember, sometimes suffering from particularly rough bouts of chronic insomnia. I have that kind of brain that just loves to review every upcoming task the moment I close my eyes, and quality sleep often alludes me. I've tried every trick in the book, including medication, listening to podcasts, and I've even undergone sleep studies. Suffice to say, sleep has always been hard to come by for me. I purchased the Hatch Restore 2 on a whim, as I really enjoy testing new tech, wanted to see if anything could help with my sleep struggles, and thought at worst it would be a fun sound machine. Boy, did I underestimate this incredible little gadget! The Hatch Restore 2 has already made a positive difference in my life in just under a week. I had a little trouble connecting to Wi-Fi at first, but after some adjustments I was good to go. I started the first evening with a simple low lilac light and rain sound - quickly feeling my eyelids grow heavier as I tried unsuccessfully to explore the app further with my tired eyes. The next evening, I added a road trip sound, pairing that with a low peach night light. Again, I found myself surprised by how effectively the repetition and gentle sounds lulled my mind away from stressful things - and instead pushed me into an unexpected slumber. By day three I subscribed to a trial pro account to take full advantage of Hatch's features for the Restore 2. Though admittedly there are plenty of options on a free account. I added a sunset step to my evenings to slowly wind down with dimming light, before my programmed lilac rain sleep setting took over. I also added a morning moment, that will play a gentle harp to ease me into my day after the slowly rising light wakes me with my alarm. I plan to try the morning meditation soon. I'm still testing different combinations of rest and rise options, dialing in the way the Restore 2 behaves for me. There's a lot to explore, and it's fun and easy to try new things and adjust them to my preferences. The product interface is simple, straightforward, and user friendly. The device itself is modern, classy, and makes clean statement next to my Google Nest on my bedside table. A cool little bonus I didn't foresee - is how much my 1 year old Yorkshire Terrier enjoys it as well. She's an anxious little 5 pound dog and the Restore 2 helps mask noise from outside in our suburban neighborhood, where we live close to downtown. I can also set the device to pink or brown noise when I put her in her den while I step out to grab groceries. It helps keep her calm in those rare moments I'm away. While I'm still discovering all the Restore 2 can do, I'm already so grateful for the positive impact it's made in my life. Thank you, Hatch!

LOTS of customization
I’m trying to become a morning person. Not working out too well, but I imagine I’ll need to undo lifelong habits to truly wake up naturally before sunrise. Having said that, I really appreciate this clock’s gradual waking process, and the numerous customizable sleeping sounds and lights. Even with the free version, there are plenty of options. Right now I’m not relying on the lighting feature because I sleep with a sleep mask, but when the alarm goes off and I have to turn it off and remove the mask, it is definitely bright! You have A TON more features if you sign up for their plan, including bedtime stories, meditation, even more sounds to choose from, etc., but I think it’s overkill for what I need. Maybe in the future I’ll check it out. I do like that I get reminders on my phone that it’s time to start winding down. This encourages me to start weaning off the screen time and keep a routine. Also, I cannot sleep without VERY LOUD white noise, and this is PERFECT. You can customize the volume, so I go to sleep with a thunder/rain storm at max volume, then after a few hours (hopefully by the time I’ve fallen asleep), I’ve customized it to gradually decrease in volume until my alarm starts gradually waking me up about 8 hours later. That’s probably my favorite feature, how much customization you can do even with the free version. Lastly, the minimalist aesthetic is nice and it matches my decor well. I do recommend it, though it is expensive for an alarm clock and the optional monthly plan would add to that expense. But if you struggle with falling asleep and/or have a hard time waking up before sunrise (or in general!) and/or you hate sudden loud alarms and/or you want lots of sleep and alarm sounds to choose from, THIS is the alarm clock for you! If you’re just looking for something simple with minimal features and don’t care about the aesthetic, you can probably find something cheaper. LASTLY, this clock is reliant on its power cord. If your power goes out while you’re asleep and doesn’t turn back on, you’re on your own! Sometimes if I have something very important the next day, I set a backup alarm on my phone just in case!

Game changer for deep sleep
I purchased the Hatch Restore 2 as I am 37 weeks pregnant and I have been looking for ways to get better and deeper sleep through these final weeks and then something I can use for the first phase of having a newborn in my room. When I took the product out of the box, I was so impressed with the packaging and immediately could tell that this was a product that I was going to love, as the aesthetic is beautiful and it's not too small or big -- it fits perfectly next to my bedside table. The instruction manual was very simple to follow and I love that there's an app with more features I can leverage as I grow with the product. I decided to keep things simple the first night and set up the sleep sound of raindrops to play. My husband loved that sound the best so it's what we stuck with. Like I mentioned above, I am on the final stages of pregnancy and sleep has been terrible. I have medication I take to try and get a good nights rest but it's starting to not work as well and I am willing to try anything. The first night with the Hatch Restore, I woke up considerably less and the time that I was asleep increased an hour. I couldn't believe it until it kept happening night over night. While I may be uncomfortable being 9 months pregnant and still waking up a bunch. I can fall asleep faster, stay asleep longer, and the stress reduction has been a game changer. I started exploring the wake up function and it actually puts me in a better mood the moments I wake up in the morning. Couldn't recommend this product enough - and I will likely be purchasing the Hatch+ subscription as there are so many things to unlock. The app is very intuitive and simple to use, nothing complex about it. Big fan over here!

So worth it!
I was very sceptical at first because it seemed like a lot of money for an alarm clock, but I was quickly humbled. It is NOT just an alarm clock, it has so many amazing features that have seriously changed my morning and night routines. I love listening to white noise to fall asleep and used to just play it on my tv on YouTube but the ads would always wake me up in the middle of the night and affect my sleep. This device has many different options for white noise/ brown noise that will have you sleeping like a baby. I have always used my phone alarm to wake up and that would send me into a panic almost every morning with the startling loud sound. Now I get woken up with a beautiful “sunrise” and birds chirping. It changed my mornings, I used to wake up moody and tired and now I wake up feeling happy and refreshed. So do something nice for yourself and buy this device!! It’s seriously a game changer 100/10 would recommend!!

"Wake Up Like a Millionaire, Even If You’re Broke: The Alarm Clock That’s Bougie but Brilliant!"
Let’s be real: the Hatch Restore 2 is pricey. This sunrise alarm clock costs more than my first car (granted, that car didn’t start half the time, but still). That said, waking up to a gentle sunrise simulation instead of my soul-crushing phone alarm? Worth it. Pair that with the sound machine that makes it feel like I’m falling asleep in a tranquil forest instead of my apartment next to a screaming toddler? Chef’s kiss. Sure, it’s expensive. But if you’re tired of waking up like you’re being catapulted out of bed by an air raid siren, this little gadget might just be worth skipping a few takeout orders. Plus, every morning, it softly whispers: “You spent a small fortune on me—get up!” Motivational and overpriced. Classic.

Some features locked behind subscription
Whilst some features are locked behind a subscription (disappointing when the initial outlay is pricey), there’s enough functionality to be good without the subscription. There’s a good range of different sunrises & sunsets to choose from, the light can be used on its own as a reading light or mood lighting. The sound quality is good enough for the standard alarms. Easy to use via the app. Waking up to a light room in the dark winter days really makes a difference to how I feel.

Buyer beware!!!
Minus five star review. This product arrived with a US plug and requires a wifi password and availability of a smartphone app for functionality. Why???
