At first the rope leash felt too heavy, thick and cumbersome to use with my 16-pound female Chihuahua/Jack Russell mix. However, as I began using the leash, I found the cotton rope to be more comfortable in my hand compared nylon and leather. The thickness and weight didn’t seem to be as much of an issue as I thought it might be at first. Also, it didn’t seem to bother my pup in the least.The braided leash is made of green and natural colored fibers whose colors attractively fade into each other along the 5’ length of the leash. The clasp is primarily steel coated with brass coloring, since a magnet was attracted to the clasp. In any case, was large and very sturdy. The clasp is securely attached to the rope, as was the hand holding loop. I highly recommend this leash.

This leash is very good quality. It’s made super strong and I can have piece of mind it’s not going to break or rip like others I have owned in the past. I have a rowdy 9 month old standard poodle who like to pull away at potty time. He has broke 3 leashes. This is the first one he hasn’t been able to break. Not that I care to much about appearances but the leash is super cute as well! Its hook is secured very well and it is strong enough for me to pull him away from something if needed. I definitely recommend and trust this leash! Lastly, it’s very comfortable to hold and it doesn’t leave marks on my wrist.

I got this leash to use both for my dogs and as a lead rope for my mini pony. It is very durable and it is also nice looking! I love the ombre look.
