Must used larger square trays to get a nice round sphere. Great price compared to others and works great.

This ice ball press works fine. When you place it in the tray and press a ball, the seal on the bottom is too tight for the bottom port to drain properly. I've been propping it up with a coin, for that it loses a star. This is pretty expensive for what it is, but it does work as expected and it's cheaper than the competition. I use 2.5" spheres made separately in a directional freezing mold to get perfect clarity, so this press just makes them a perfect sphere. It seems to have a tendency to fracture the ice sometimes though, your results may vary. If you can afford this and it's what you want, this is probably the one to buy. They're probably all the same quality construction, so this price wins.

For the price, I think that this is a real good deal. It works just as intended and is easy to use and easy to clean. After the first one. It's a lot slower. But that's pretty normal with these types of ice makers. I usually hit mine up with a torch and it's good to go again.

Ok, this thing works GREAT at turning chunks of ice into spheres of ice. And it’s a super cool demo while it’s doing it. So if you want to spend 24 hours or more making a BIG chunk of clear ice, breaking it into smaller BIG chunks of ice, then forming those chunks into spheres, this is the best way to throw away $100. You know what else is really good at making spheres of ice? $20 ice sphere molds. They even have $20 ice sphere molds that make CLEAR ICE SPHERES!! So if you just want to waste time and money, this is the useless gadget for you. But if you have and like $100, then I would recommend you keep that $100 and just get a $20 gadget that makes clear ice spheres.

Easy to use

I was so happy to find this on Amazon at a very reasonable price. In the past, these icemakers have been so expensive. My only complaint is that it doesn’t come with the actual ice molds. They are sold separately. I bought this as a gift for my husband and we had to wait a couple more days to get the ice molds. Other than that it’s cool works great.

It’s perfect for the price. It was a Father’s Day gift and my husband loved it.!

I saw an ice ball maker like this in a bar, and thought it would make a nice addition. There are a couple of things you should know before buying this unit. First, if you want spherical ice balls, you'll need to buy an oversized ice cube tray that makes cubes measuring 2 1/2" in all three dimensions. If you use the typical 2" large cubes, you'll get a flat side(s). (Curiously, having a flat side makes it easier to extract the ball from the mold). You also can't put multiple cubes in the mold and have them magically melt together. Second, the first ice ball took about 5 minutes to go from cube to ball. The next one took about 40 minutes. So, make them in advance if you anticipate any demand. This is a toy - it's not a serious tool.

Jag var glad att hitta en press till bra pris, då jag inte tycker det är motiverat att lägga långt mer än dubbelt så mycket, så som sådana här pressar brukar kosta.
