This is one of the things to have in the kitchen especially (where most house fires start) just in case, though you hope never to have to use. Easier and quicker to use than an extinguisher and much less messy. Much, much cheaper than sorting out the problems after a fire!!

Well I’ve not had to use it thank god but it was something I am required to have in my house. It’s well packed self explanatory with basic instructions on the outer packagingI’d buy again and recommend this to anyone who is a special guardian, foster carer, child minder or even for a small business, craft centre, glass maker or cottage industry business

Bought this as a joke gift for my husband as he bought me a fire extinguisher previously. However he was genuinely pleased. Packed nice and small so easy to have tucked away somewhere for an emergency.

Have not require to use in anger, but easy to access and use, good size.

Not actually needed to use them yet which with this item is a good thing! Came well packaged and such a relief to have them to hand should anything happen

These arrive sealed in a clearly labelled large grey postage style plastic bag measuring approx 33cm x 23cm x 9cm.Inside you will find the 4 fire blankets, each in a sturdy bright red clearly labelled fabric bag with a metal grommet inserted on the hanging hole so you can tug the blanket out in an emergency without having to remove the case from the hook you've hung it on.The bottoms have a velcro closure, with 2 woven fabric strips hanging down to pull out the 3ft x 3.3ft (approx 90cm x 1m) fire blanket out easily.If you want to do a test run, you can refold the fire blanket & put it back into the bag after pulling one out, so it's ready to use in an emergency.The woven fabric tapes are firmly sewn into the hem of the fire blanket.These are made of woven fibreglass & are not large enough to cover an adult fully, but are an excellent size for use on a stove top fire (or other similar contained fire), or to wrap over someone before doing a stop, drop & roll to put out flames on clothing .They are large enough to provide some shelter if you put one over the top of your head while escaping a fire in an emergency, or to throw/wrap around over a pet/small child.Please note you should NEVER obstruct breathing by wrapping around anyone's head so they can't breathe.I tested one on a controlled fire set in a large metal pot in the garden & it worked as intended, completely suppressing the flames & putting out the fire.After a genuine use I would replace rather than put it back it the bag, but saying that I still have 3 (one in the car, one in the kitchen & one upstairs) dotted around the house.They might hang on the wall for a decade without ever being needed, but they don't go out of date, so I think these are an excellent item to keep in any house, caravan, car or to take one camping if you plan to light a fire in case it gets out of control.Highly recommended.The only thing I was a bit annoyed about is that all the grommets are slightly off-centre on the top of each bag, so every single one that I have hung up looks wonky.
