You can brown you meat or chicken then go straight to slow cooking .
This pot can do so much more than the older ones that could only cook slow cooking .

The greatest slow cooker of all time
I not only would give this five stars, but I would give this slow cooker 10 ❤️. Cooks beautifully and evenly. You can lift the pot out of the base. It’s wide, low shape makes easier stirring, browning, less digging around. Nonstick surface is easier cleanup and no charred food on the bottom. I’ve had a few different kind of crockpots in my life, but this is by far the superior choice.

Great multicooker
If you cook, buy this! I use it at least 2x a week. You can make a large roast, 5 pounds of spaghetti and so many other things. It is huge, is easy to use and has many functions! A must for every busy home!

This is a review of “Ninja MC2001 PossibleCooker PRO Plus, 8.5-QT Multicooker”
A Versatile Kitchen Companion with Manual Inaccuracies. As a long-time user of Ninja’s innovative appliance line, I was eager to see how the PossibleCooker PRO Plus would hold up against its predecessors. After putting this 8.5-quart multicooker through its paces—including a controlled test of every setting using a temperature gun—I have found it to be a capable addition to the kitchen. It excels as a space-saver but falls short in a few areas of precision and convenience that prevent it from being a perfect five-star product. Design and Performance Upgrades: The first thing you’ll notice about the Blue Macaron finish is how well it complements a modern kitchen aesthetic. Beyond the looks, this "Plus" model features a power upgrade to 1400 watts, which is a noticeable improvement over the standard 1200-watt version. This extra power translates to more effective searing and faster heat-up times. The 8.5-quart capacity is generous, making it an excellent choice for large families or meal prepping. One of the standout features is the removable oven-safe ceramic pot. Being able to transition a dish from the base directly into a 500°F oven to crisp up a topping is a major plus. The pot is also free of PFAS, PTFE, and PFOA, which provides peace of mind for health-conscious cooks. The controls are generally intuitive, and the included multi-functional spoon that rests on the lid handle is a clever, thoughtful touch for keeping counters clean. High-Altitude and Functional Limitations: Despite its strengths, several "missing" features and design choices keep this at a 4-star rating. For those living at high altitudes, the lack of a High-Altitude Adjustment setting is a significant drawback. This is particularly frustrating because the Rice and Pasta settings do not allow for manual time or temperature adjustments. Because water boils at a lower temperature at higher elevations, these "plug and go" settings become unreliable, forcing the user to manually bypass them using other functions—essentially defeating the purpose of the dedicated presets. Furthermore, there is some confusion regarding the Sear/Sauté function. While the manual suggests temperature increments between 250°F and 400°F, this specific model (MC2001) is limited to High, Medium, and Low settings. Additionally, the digital display for "Medium" appears as a backwards "7," which is a small but confusing UI quirk. Physical Design Concerns: There are a few physical limitations that affect daily use. The 31-inch power cord is quite short; if your outlet isn't directly behind the unit, you may find yourself pulling the cooker to the very edge of your counter or island to reach a plug. Additionally, while the stainless steel handles look premium, they retain heat. You must use oven mitts at all times, as there are no "stay-cool" covers included. The lid also features a steam vent hole that is over 1/4" wide. While this prevents the lid from rattling during a heavy boil, it allows a substantial amount of moisture and heat to escape during low-temperature cooking. I found myself having to use a silicone trivet to cover the hole to maintain the proper moisture levels for certain recipes. Missing Essentials: Finally, for a "PRO" level appliance at this price point, the lack of included accessories is disappointing. A roast/steamer rack is not included and requires an additional purchase, despite "Steam" and "Roast" being two of the nine advertised functions. Furthermore, there is no port for the Ninja Smart Thermometer, meaning you are limited to using third-party wireless probes if you want to monitor internal temperatures accurately. Overall: The Ninja PossibleCooker PRO Plus is a powerful, multifunctional tool that can certainly replace several appliances. However, the lack of altitude adjustments, the short cord, and the necessity of buying extra accessories for core functions make it a "good" rather than "great" investment.

Great Product By Ninja
If you're looking for a slow cooker, this is a great one. i been having this one over 3 years and never had a problem with it. Nice thick and strong pan, and it still looks and work like new. Nice size to fit on a shelf when not in use and to fit on your counter when you are ready to start cooking, and can heat up 500°F and has a timer so you can keep the food warm. You can cook on the base or put it in the oven to cook too. this can replace multiple cookwear in your kitchen. This is a great product by ninja

Ninja foodi crockpot
When the Ninja Foodi PossibleCooker PRO 8.5 (MC1001) arrived on my counter, it instantly replaced three other appliances. This isn't just an upgrade from a standard slow cooker—it’s a revolutionary piece of equipment that truly earns the "PRO" in its name. It manages to combine the best parts of a Dutch oven, a traditional crockpot, and a high-performance burner into one elegant, non-stick vessel. What makes this model a kitchen hero? First, the 8.5-quart capacity and rectangular shape. This is a game-changer for anyone who cooks large meals, roasts, or racks of ribs. Unlike round slow cookers that force everything into a pile, the elongated shape accommodates a full chicken or a large pork shoulder perfectly, ensuring even cooking and better browning. Second, the "PossibleCooker" function is the most significant selling point. I can finally sear and sauté ingredients right in the pot before hitting the slow-cook button. No more dirtying a separate pan to brown the onions or sear the beef short ribs! This step, which is crucial for deep flavor development, is now seamless and contained. I build the entire flavor base for my stews, braises, and chilies in one go, locking in those savory Maillard reaction flavors before the slow simmer begins. Finally, the pot itself is a dream. It’s significantly lighter than the stoneware crocks of old, making it much easier to lift, serve from, and clean. The non-stick coating is robust, and everything—from sticky caramelizing sugars to burnt cheese—wipes away effortlessly. If you have a busy family, meal prep, or just appreciate appliances that make high-quality cooking simpler, the Ninja Foodi PossibleCooker PRO 8.5 is an absolute must-have. It’s an investment in efficiency and delicious, one-pot meals.

Set It And Forget Dinner Helper
I have been a big fan of this brand for years and their air fryer is basically an extra member of the family, so I was very curious to see if this big blue multicooker could really take over for our old pressure style cooker. Right away I liked that it looks more like a nice piece of cookware and less like a spaceship, with the soft blue color and clear glass lid that lets me peek in without lifting anything or guessing what is happening inside. The handles stay easy to grab, and the simple control dial on the front makes switching between slow cook, sear, steam, and other modes feel very natural instead of fussy or high tech. I used it to make a big batch of chili and appreciated the wide oval pot because I could brown the meat directly in the same pot and actually get some color on it, which my old cooker never did well even though it claimed it could sear. The large 8.5 quart size is no joke and easily handled a party sized amount of food without feeling like I was cramming things in, and that makes it great for game days and holiday meals. The ceramic nonstick interior has been impressively slick so far and I like knowing it is made without PFAS type coatings, which gives me a little extra peace of mind when I am scraping the last bit of sauce out with a spoon. Cleanup has been a pleasant surprise because the pot and lid both go into the dishwasher and come out without that weird film some nonstick pieces get, so I spend more time eating and less time soaking and scrubbing. What really sold me is how this one pot has been able to step into a lot of roles that used to clutter up our cabinets, since it can slow cook, sear, bake, braise, steam, proof dough, and keep things warm without a lineup of gadgets on the counter. I made pasta in it and the fact that I did not have to drain a heavy pot in the sink felt like my own small cooking show moment, which probably looked sillier than it felt but still made me smile. The heating feels very even, so stews and casseroles bubble along nicely instead of forming a hot ring around the edge while the middle sulks, and that even heat means dinner seems to come together a bit faster than with my regular oven on similar recipes. Compared to the pressure cooker it is replacing, this design feels more open and flexible, since I can go from stovetop style searing to low and slow cooking and even pop the pot in the oven up to high temperatures when I want a browned top on something like mac and cheese. For anyone who already likes this brand and wants to retire an older cooker while gaining a better sear and a more attractive pot that can go straight to the table, this multicooker feels like a very capable upgrade that has earned its spot in my daily cooking routine.

Defectuoso
