Absolutely unreliable, loses network connectivity and has to be reinstalled
This printer should be great but I've had nothing but trouble with it. It disconnects from wifi and will not reconnect without re-running the wi-fi set-up. the drivers also do not work as standard and additional drivers need to be found by running HP's diagnostic tool so you then have to select something called DO NOT DELETE rather than the printer. For every device you want to connect you have to run the diagnostic tool to install additional drivers. This means you cannot print from a mobile device because the HP diagnostic tool does not run on iPhone etc.Printerland referred me to HP, H said there was nothing wrong because additional drivers are available so won't issue a DOA code so I can't return it for a refund.I'm an IT professional, have worked in the industry for over 30 years, I know my way around a network, I know what I am doing and I've had to give up on this. I'm writing it off as a £356 mistake and buying a Brother printer instead. If anyone wants this one it's free to whoever wants to collect it.

What a printer!
Upgraded to this from an inkjet printer. What a difference it has made in productivity. Prints are crisp and detailed and this thing prints fast! Should have upgraded years ago. The only down side is the cost of the toner cartridges.

Very disappointed with setup complexity
This is the third HP Laserjet I’ve bought for home use. The previous two lasted over ten years each so have always been trusted products. AirPrint was working seamlessly on the 12 year old LJ3.I cannot believe the mess I got in trying to get this to AirPrint. I spent two days getting it to work and I’m still not sure that it’s set up securely. Perhaps I missed something basic, but it’s left me really cross. My daughter remarked that all the tech kit she buys works out of the box. She’s had no concept of who HP are :-). Lol.

Not as good as it should be for this price
Very easy to set up.Single sided printing no problem. However double sided is very problematic. If you try and print in anything other than standard double sided printing it tends to jam. If you select the premium print option it will jam at about the 3rd page.On standard print it also has a tendency to jump to single side printing which if your doing multiple copies and not watching it can becoming expensive in wasted toner.A set of the large toners will set you back around £650 for genuine product. With a new machine I would not consider using generic as it could invalidate any warranty.Originally purchased to do A5 double sided printing which it claims it can do, but again if A4 was tempremental then A5 is next t impossible. Now I know A5 double sided is a bit niche but surely its not rocket science to have a machine that can reliably do what it claims without print jams time after time after time..If your only doing single sided printing then its fine for that but would not recommend if you need to do double sided printing
