Fab book series
My 11 year old daughter has read all 4 of these books in the series and loves everyone. They have inspired to become more involved with birds and nature. Would highly recommend all 4 and definitely want a pet raven now

Outstanding read.
It didn’t disappoint. I wasn’t able to put it down. A clever and well written book. I haven’t yet heard anyone not enjoy this series of books.

Fast-paced, exciting and filled with adventure
Feather is the fourth and final book in The Twitchers series by M.G. Leonard. The series works best if you read the books in order rather than jumping in with just the last book. Our main character Ava is on a school trip to the Royal Swan Natural History Museum where Alfred Wallace's rare bird collection is on display. Unfortunately, the items which are priceless have been stolen. With the police not being interested in the case The Twitchers decide that this is a case for them and put their sleuthing to the test one last time.Just like the previous three books in the series, Feather is fast-paced, exciting and filled with adventure. It is a fabulous read and one that is hard to put down. The relationship between the friends is lovely to read about and hopefully an inspiration to the books middle-grade readers as this is how friendships should be. The ending is perfect and a nice way to say goodbye, though it is a shame for there to be no more stories to come.*I received a free copy of this book, which I voluntarily reviewed

Feather Book 4
What a fantastic ending to the quartet!I'm so pleased I saved this until I had time to devour it in one sitting. This will appeal to so many different groups of children and adults alike. I love the relationships which have developed throughout the series and am genuinely sad that there won't be any further adventures of the avian variety. The insight into ravens and their intelligence was fascinating!Thank you M.G. Leonard for producing such a cracking series of books which make bird watching a cool thing for everyone to do.

The series finale!
This is the last in The Twitchers series and this final installment brings the bird club friends’ sleuthing adventures to a fitting end. This time round the focus lands on Ava, previously the lead characters have been male so it’s good to see the perspective changed. Whilst on a trip to a local Natural History Museum, Alfred Russel Wallace’s priceless collection of rare bird feathers is stolen and it’s Ava who is the first to witness and discover the crime! She can’t wait to tell the rest of the Twitchers they have a new case to solve. But what does a mysterious girl at a bus stop and a single raven’s feather have to do with the museum heist?M G Leonard continues to craft stories where dialogue flows and friendships develop in a very realistic way. Although the plot twists are fewer in this story, she leaves you wanting to read on to find out how the story unfolds. We love the contemporary characters and their enthusiasm for a hobby that might be considered old fashioned. M G Leonard’s subject knowledge shines through all four books. When a series ends there’s a sadness at leaving characters and settings behind, but knowing how it all ends, makes re-reading the books very satisfying.

An intriguing mystery with daring sleuths solving another crime in the world of birds ...
Feather is the final wintery adventure in The Twitchers seasonal mystery quartet, and, oh my goodness, what an exhilarating and heart-warming ending to a series that has completely captured me with its intriguing mysteries, daring sleuths and superstars of the bird world.Ava is on a school trip to the Royal Swan Natural History Museum when she discovers that a heist has taken place: hundreds of bird of paradise skins from the Alfred Wallace collection have been stolen. The only clue is a large, black feather left on the floor, but the police are not interested. The Twitchers have found their next case …And so begins another fantastic mystery as the Twitchers find themselves following a trail of clues which leads them into ever-increasing peril. Could the mysterious girl, who Ava meets outside the museum, and her raven help solve the mystery? Will the Twitchers be able to outwit a dangerous gang of thieves and recover the bird skins before time runs out? This is a brilliantly fast-paced and action-packed mystery that kept me gripped throughout. I loved following the Twitchers as they work together to piece together clues, putting themselves in danger to help someone in need as well as working as a team to attempt to recover the bird skins for the Museum. There is a real feeling of urgency and a genuine sense of danger as the children get closer and closer to uncovering the truth, but will they be able to escape the clutches of devious criminals who will stop at nothing to escape justice?I adore this group of friends who have been brought together through an appreciation of bird-watching and caring for the environment. Their friendship feels incredibly authentic and I love the camaraderie between them. They all have their strengths which, when brought together, makes them a formidable sleuthing team. Ava discovers the heist at the museum and immediately takes the case to her friends. She shows herself to be incredibly kind-hearted and empathetic when dealing with a difficult situation. I love how Ava, Tara, Twitch, Jack, Terry, Ozuru and Tippi are so supportive of each other, their curious natures and their tenacity in bringing criminals to justice. Their respect for, and enjoyment of, the natural environment, and their passion for bird-watching and protecting birds, really shines through in these adventures.Feather is a perfect ending to this exceptional adventure series which celebrates bird-watching, caring for the environment and friendship as well as having a fantastic mystery at its heart.

Best in the series!
What's not to like when reading a new book for the talented M.G.Leonard ,especially when you can meet such likeable characters again? In this last of "The Twitchers" series ,the gang have a peculiar theft to solve - that of hundreds of paradise skins stolen from the Alfred Wallace Collection at the Royal Swan Natural History Museum. Inevitably solving the theft leads to sinister happenings with mysterious people and plenty of adventure which makes reading it a joy. I was invested in the relationships between the characters, I found the central plot to be engaging and as someone working with children I am certain that many will agree with me. It is sad that this is the end of the series but I am sure that there will be more from this amazing author.
