I couldn’t find any issues/complaints about this stand! The joints are tight and firm and the material of the frame is made of solid and sturdy metal. The base is wide enough to hold my full-sized laptop with no problems (I also use this with my iPad, planner, or book as well for when I need to reference whichever item while working) This is a very well-made product. I have no regrets making this purchase!

I got this to make a work setup for my 16" MacBook Pro. The screen on the laptop is big, but when I use it as a desktop it sits too low. I have a second monitor, and with this stand the two sit side-by-side making it much more useful. Clearly, in this setup you need to have a desktop keyboard and mouse, but I do. I have a dock, and all the desktop components, and with this stand I can really feel that the laptop is just another desktop. This makes for working at home much nicer, but still allows me to unplug and take the laptop on the road. Before this I simply used the external monitor, and kept the laptop closed. This is a problem with the fingerprint sensor in the laptop, and wastes the beautiful screen that comes on the MacBook Pro. So, this simple stand enabled me to use the laptop as a second monitor, lifts it up so that it gets better airflow underneath and as a result it keeps it cooler (this is not really a problem on a MacBook anyway, but still nice). With this stand I can't remember a time that the fan actually turned on while I was working. Can anyone with an Intel PC say that, I don't think so. ;). But, this would keep the intel heaters running just a bit cooler as the underside airflow would be unrestricted. A few notes, it is really stiff, this is good because you want it to maintain its position. But, you have to apply some pressure to move it to the setting you want, this is normal. You basically set it and forget it. If you want an easily adjustable stand, this is probably not the right one for you. There is no way to make it easy to adjust. No screw to tighten or loosen for ease of movement. It is just sturdy and stiff at all times. For a set and forget setup it is really perfect, however.

After a week I finally got my stand out of the box. Immediately I liked the size and it’s sturdy and looks nice. It’s not intrusive at all. It’s simple in design. It took a bit of muscle to open but I really did not want a huge angle so I managed. I just wanted something to prop it up a little so I would stop touching the mouse pad. I’m not a fan of mouse pads. Idk why laptops feel the need to make them so big. Anywho, once I got the desired angle I put the laptop on it and started typing. Downside, when typing it jiggles which first annoyed me but I quickly got used to it. However I decided to remedy the problem by using a piece of styrofoam block I had from another pkg to add as additional support. See pic; little white square left of stand & then wedged between top and bottom bar. Voila! Problem solved. The manufacturer may want to come up with their own idea to add support to the product but as a separate unit like my styrofoam block. I recommend this product.

My Framework 16 laptop is the heaviest beast of a computer I've ever owned: solid metal casing, dedicated GPU, probably heavier than some desktops. It's an amazing machine, but it has a known flaw: it gets unbearably hot and you genuinely cannot use it in your lap. This stand solves the problem by keeping the base raised for airflow; the aluminum also channels heat away. The listing says "sturdy" and it means it: the metal is thick, the silicone pads grip fast, and the hinges are actually difficult to move—which is a good thing because it means the stand won't accidentally shift under a heavy load. I bought two of these to support two heavy 16 inch gaming laptops. I'm very impressed - the quality is very solid and sturdy. We've been using them for a while now and they've maintained their sturdiness. Unlike our previous laptop stand which has limited height and angle flexibility, this one allows adjustment in two places, creating loads of options. I'll be buying a third one shortly!
