Since it's basically a holder for the item you're slicing, I think it would work with most mandolins. The safety holder is 6" wide, so according to your width measurement it would fit your mandolin.

The color. This one is white. The other one is orange. They serve the same purpose.

How well does it handle carrots?

I use the peeled baby carrots and can slice them fine. I haven't tried shredding them
