Excellent Backpack
I have more than one of these. I like this new model more than the previous mainly because this includes a second water bottle pocket. I've used these bags for many things. Most recently, it has become my backpack for biking on the trails. It's light, water resistant and comfortable. I've maybe carried up to 20 pounds in it and it still looks new. This is a great bag and has been very durable. The shoulder straps balance the load well. There isn't any structure to its "frame," but that doesn't deter from its comfort - you can always put something in it, included a foam pad, but I never had needed to). It looks like the day I got it...and it's going through some rain, heat, sweat and being tossed around. The seams are taped and provide some water resistance (the Osprey Dry Sack is someone more water resistant as it has a folding top, similar to a true dry bag).It packs down relatively small, but unless you're carrying something else (jacket, purse, large cargo pockets, luggage), I wouldn't say this is "packable on your person".I highly recommend if you like lightweight stuff. It also comes with a lifetime warranty if something does happen to it...which I don't see happening anytime soon.

Nice light weight packable bag
Awesome bag. Super light weight, very thin but pretty durable for what it is. The straps are comfortable and it can hold a good amount as well, was able to bring two full sized towels out to go swimming while on vacation. The orange color is very but I like it. It also folds up surprisingly easily which is great.

Great for travel!!
Great price. Moderately waterproof (rain). Straps provide decent comfort/padding. Immensely good for travel. Large capacity for a day hike. Top, zippered pocket is great. Chest strap is paramount! Well designed and constructed: I expected nothing less from Osprey.

Value
I love this great little pack. So light weight and easy to carry when not in use. Went to Italy for a month and it was perfect for your impromptu shopping trips. It’s more bang for the buck as it holds way more than it looks. Along with comfortable on the shoulders. Easy to zip to get in and out of and withstand every day use.

Not as useful as older model
It’s hard to write a review for everybody. If a product isn’t what I was looking for should I ignore the quality and review based on how I feel? Don’t get me wrong. I like Osprey. I have bought at least a dozen Osprey products in the last five years. But, they discontinued a product I adored and I have been kicking myself for not buying several in the beginning. In the photos, the one on the left, the more yellowish green, went with me on the Camino and as a daypack for maybe 100 shorter hikes. It is completely watertight and it has a roll top. It’s the perfect daypack for me even though in the hot sun it gets soaked with sweat, because everything inside stays dry. And it’s easy to rinse out and clean. The one on the right is not my favorite color, it doesn’t have the roll top, and it’s smaller. However, the straps on the front seem to be sturdier than on my old one. It’s ultralight, which makes a difference for balance and longer hikes. It’s also half the cost. I will keep it and use it for travel because I don’t care if I lose it. I would be very sad if I lost my old one.Update: I reread the review and think that the 4 stars is still reasonable. It's very lightweight and fits stuffed into it's inner pocket. It's probably waterproof and useful for people who want to just stash it for occasional use. But, I returned it because I just didn't like it. I don't think it's designed for Osprey users who look for functionality, like the roll top. Maybe they are trying to appeal to a new market. I think it's important to look at that when shopping for gear, so instead of deleting my review I am keeping it.

Great pack, light and collapses well
This worked great for me as a say pack traveling in cities. It’s super basic, so maybe not for everyone, but being super light is a huge advantage. I travel with a bigger pack, but this thing is so tiny it’s worth it’s space in the suitcase if you’re walking around all day and don’t want to carry a full-fledged backpack.

Excellent Travel Backpack
This backpack has been a lifesaver during my week in Croatia. It packs down to basically nothing, so it sat in my larger backpack unused for weeks of my trip before Croatia. Then it was magic. This bag holds A TON for its size. Here is what I packed today: beach towel, jacket, gym shorts, boxer shorts, a big sandwich, portable charger, water shoes, then a water bottle and sunscreen bottle in each of the mesh side pockets. The backpack doesn’t have a shape to hold (for obvious reasons) but it feels sturdy. It also has thoughtful features like a smaller top pocket with Velcro and a key ring (so clutch to not lose those Airbnb keys) and a top grab handle. And while the straps are flimsy, they work as intended. The bag is comfortable enough to carry. This is an excellent purchase for travel.

FANTASTIC Little Camera Keeper
I don’t know what other people were doing, claiming they just put down their bag and it got a hole in it on day one. I trekked with this thing full of my camera gear, snacks, and water, putting it down on every flat surface, swinging it around, opening and closing it several dozen times a day and night, and it has not ripped/punctured/torn whatsoever. It is a durable, pack able travel bag with lots of room.Just wished it breathed. My back, if I had both straps on my shoulders, would make my back sweat so bad. It happened walking through Chinatown and my lower back and upper glutes were soaked. My shirt was cotton so it wasn’t quick dry. That wasn’t fun. Had to keep pack over one shoulder for my back to breathe. But that’s what happens when you buy a plastic bag, not mesh. Still, a great bag, and will buy another one for Italy. One not so touristy-looking. For $40 that’s a steal in photography world. Love this bag. Saves lugging my actual camera backpack around.
