I'm updating this review to reflect the whole set and the stellar customer service from this seller! The set itself is beautiful - in a previous review I said the screw holding the scissors together was coming loose during use, but the seller worked with me to quickly replace the pair. The color is a little darker than the other items but it is explained by the steel under gold plating, and they are definitely strong and cut well. I love the ruler and staple remover, and also have the acrylic box, stapler and tape dispenser sold by them. Overall these items have served me well and everyone who sees my desk comments on how pretty they are. I am very happy with the 100% guarantee and will be buying again to give as gifts! Beautiful set! The ruler is probably one of the best quality rulers I have ever had. It is nice and thick and it helps the entire ruler is clear so it makes it easy to measure things. Haven't used the staple remover much, but it does it's job and looks pretty doing it. The scissors are great! Nice and sharp and not too big. I have them in my pencil/pen holder on my desk and they are only about an 1 1/2 taller than a normal size pen. Great quality stuff and pretty too!

I love this desk set!!! A friend gave me the acrylic pen holder set a while ago, so when I saw this set for sale, I had to get it. The scissors are sharp and effective, the ruler is solid! I threw away some rulers I had that were no longer straight or had chips in them - I think this one will last forever. And I really appreciate a good staple puller that won't tear the paper. Yes, I still use paper - a lot less than I used to, but I need paper and paper accessories. These are beautiful and functional.

The scissors are nice and sharp and cut well, the staple remover does the job while looking good, and the ruler is nice and thick with some weight, which makes it easier to use. I love the Acrylic and Gold Desk Accessories Set by Office Goods that I recently purchased. In person the set looks as beautiful as it did on line, exactly the same. The gold is a soft rose gold, not a harsh gold, beautiful! I was so excited that I searched for other items by Office Goods and found more beautiful things; their Acrylic & Gold Pencil & Pen Holder, and their Odds & Ends Box. When I put all these items on my desk, I loved them so much I bought several complete sets for clients, who's homes I've designed. It's added just that right amount of pop to their otherwise monochromatic, calm color schemes. Seeing these beautiful items all day long, has inspired me to keep my desk more clutter free, encouraging creativity and some zen moments ! And, their customer service is really great, helpful and willing to answer questions. A great company!

The scissors and ruler are really cute but the staple remover is more of a copper color. They don’t match the rest of my set at all. I love the ruler and scissors though.

Surprisingly, the scissors and stapler remover work well. The ruler is cool. I mainly ordered this for the scissors. The scissors are good for those who use washi tape or stickers for their planners and simply cutting paper even thick paper. I would not use them for cutting cardboard boxes or heavy duty purposes.
