A powerful portable hammer drill.
I bought this as a refurbished item, so was very pleased to find that it came still sealed in its original plastic packaging inside the box. Brand new! This is a fantastic hammer drill. I have several other DeWalt drills but needed the hammer function to drill through an exterior wall to feed cabling into the house. Though my walls are pretty solid brick, there was easily enough power to drill through the wall like butter. It's also nice and compact. I thought it was so small that it would be at the expense of power, but after a couple of months of use, I've yet to see it struggle with any drilling I've needed it to do. A great portable hammer drill that has plenty of grunt for all household work.

Great drill. Lots of power in a compact package
This is a pretty versatile little drill. The hammer drill function does a great job at drilling into masonry and concrete, despite being a fairly small drill. It has a nice weight to it, which give a real feeling of quality and power. It also has a variety of settings for drilling/screwing, making for a quite robust set of uses. Battery life seems good; I haven’t really used it long enough to wear a battery fully down with it. My first project with it was pretty involved, so that’s saying something. If you’re in the DeWalt battery space, I don’t think you can go wring with this guy. I can hardly think of a reason I would ever need the larger variety of this.

A lot of power in a small package
I was looking for a lightweight and powerful drill to complement my impact, and this was perfect I know there are more powerful drills out there, but this one has quite a bit of kick considering its size I’ve had no problems drilling screws into dense old growth wood (for the record I live in a mid 20 century house that was framed with all Douglas fir so that would tend to be very difficult to drill into all these years later) at the same time, the variable speed trigger gives me the precision and speed control that I need for more delicate jobs. The clutch is super helpful and although it is a hammer drill, I haven’t had to use it as a hammer drill up to this point, but I’m sure if I ever did it would be very helpful. I’m not one of those people who just uses one brand of tool I have Milwaukee, I have Ryobi and Bosch, and I do have quite a bit of a DeWalt. So I’m not just saying this is some sort of fanboy. I really do enjoy using this drill.

Excellent drill. Amazon price couldn't be beat when I purchased it.
I went down the DeWalt 20v rabbit-hole over 20 years ago. 20 years later, after tons of homeowner use, my drill started showing its age. This was the replacement/ backup. Works as expected. Glad I purchased it. Mine did come with a metal chuck. There has been discussion of some coming with a plastic chuck.

Highly recommend
Recently bought, I have the Workx brand before. I've decided to upgrade. Im very impressed by the torque and the premium feel. It's heavier than my previous one but that's expected because tool and battery is bigger. Its very comfortable to use. Can't comment on the durability as I have only used it twice. I think it's an improvement on my previous tool and a great value for money.

Get it while it’s cheap!
It’s a great drill. powers through anything and gets the job done over and over. Got it for cheap and it keeps getting cheaper too good of a deal to pass up. I love the handle ergonomics and it’s short stout to get into tight places. Sturdy piece of equipment too. It is pretty heavy though feels a lot heavier than my 12v also mine came with a metal chuck definitely made my day opening it up and seeing that
