UPDATE: My gimbal ran into an issue. The locks on the baseplate stopped locking, and there's a major design flaw that makes it difficult to tighten the locks back up. I wasn't able to, I reached out to Zhiyun, they were willing to send me a replacement baseplate for about $20. I said no. Luckily I paid for the Asurion insurance, now I'm sending it back for a full refund. Cool gimbal. Not really worth it anymore for me in my opinion. Great for portability and works decently. Not good for professional environments. I want to start this review off with this is my first gimbal. I can't honestly tell you if this is the best gimbal ever or in it's price range, but what I can tell you is this thing is amazing! It's so smooth and it has a few neat features that I couldn't find in a lot of other gimbals at this price range like vortex mode! Pros - Coming from someone who used a tripod to film, the difference is like night and day! I've been able to get some extremely cinematic shots with this gimbal with ease - Super easy to balance once you figure it out because of the locks - Holds a good amount of weight - feels high quality - The add ons are great! Definitely get the combo/the wrist rest! - Has an AMAZING app that really helps with self shooting/ allows you to control the gimbal from the app - Allows you to charge the camera while using the gimbal Even though this gimbal is absolutely perfect for me so far, there are a few cons. - Even though it holds a lot of weight, I am slightly having issues balancing the Sigma 24-70mm lens with my ZV-E1 and a6600. Now this is a relatively big, heavy piece of glass and I probably won't use it on the gimbal a lot, but some bigger lenses definitely aren't for this gimbal - Because it's pretty heavy, you might need the wrist rest or else it's going to tire you out while getting low shots - The new Crane 4 seems a LOT better than this gimbal. If you have a bit more, I'd definitely go with that over the Weebill 3s. It holds more, has more updated features, and seems more compact at the same time

Bottomline up front: Coming from a Ronin SC (yes, I know, that's DJI's old budget entry level gimbal), this is a phenomenal upgrade, without breaking the bank!! I upgraded to the Weebill 3S from my DJI Ronin SC. I wanted a gimbal that supported native vertical mount shooting, as well as standard landscape shooting, I was really debating between this and the DJI Ronin RS3 Mini, as I didn't want to break the $500 mark going into the "regular" Ronin RS3 or Zhiyun Crane 4. Reviews for the Weebill 3S and the Ronin RS3 were practically the same...overall, both are really good for their price and category, with minor nit picks in either camp. In the end, I ended up going with the Weebill 3S because you got a bit more for your dollar--I ended up getting the wrist rest/handle add on for about $30 more than just the RS3 mini without any extras. Let me tell you, I'm not disappointed I went this route! The overall stabilization and ease of balancing was leaps and bounds over my Ronin SC. And the wrist-rest and handle combo make a big difference in reducing strain on your hand/arm. Build quality seemed on par with my Ronin, and everything was easy to assemble and get going. Balancing was WAY easier than with my Ronin SC (for reference, I'm using a Sony FX30 with Sigma 16mm lens) and the 3S doesn't struggle at all with my setup. One nit pick I have is one of the adjustment knobs gets blocked by the camera mounting plate in the vertical setup due to how far the plate protrudes forward for balancing, but for my setup, it wasn't a big issue. I may just relocate the camera on the mounting plate a bit forward and rebalance everything, but for now, it's working great. All the functions are very similar to the Ronin I came from, from the trigger pulls to the modes. Auto-tuning the motors is super easy. Bluetooth and wired connection to my FX30 work great. The fill light is neat, but I'm not sure how much use I'd get out of it. But, it's bright and you can control the color temp. I can't directly compare to the Ronin RS3 mini, but from my experience so far with this, it's an outstanding gimbal that is easy to get set up, use, and seems to be quality built. If you're looking for a sub $500 gimbal that offers a lot of value, this is definitely worth your consideration. Pros: - Price value compared to DJI - Easy setup - Easy balance - Easy connection to camera - Handle and wrist rest add on is really nice to have for reducing strain - Stabilization is buttery smooth! - Native vertical mounting Cons: - At least one knob may be partially blocked from adjustment depending on how you have to mount your camera to the quick release plate If you found this review helpful, please hit that "Helpful" button!! I bought this for my Panasonic GH6. It balances in horizontal mode perfectly.. And once you get used to the balancing system of this gimbal, it can be balanced pretty quickly. But I use this to create vertical reels for real estate videos, so I need the majority of my content to be recorded in vertical mode. Now for heavier lenses in vertical mode, it balances fine as well. But lighter lenses like my laowa 7.5mm f2 or my Panasonic 25mm f1.7 can't be balanced in vertical mode. With the way this gimbal was designed for vertical orientation, there is a horizontal bar that you mount the camera to. It's designed so the lens goes in front of the bar and the camera body goes behind the bar. The lens needs to be heavy enough to pull the camera forward so it can balance with the weight of the camera in the back. This isn't possible with those light lenses I mentioned, so it's impossible to balance this gimbal in vertical orientation with those 2 light lenses. This is the only reason why I give this gimbal 4 out of 5. Because of I were able to mount my camera body going over this horizontal bar and not behind it, I would be able to balance any lens, light or heavy with it. I just take it as a limitation with this system and work around it to get what I need, because when I put my heavier Sirui T1.2 lens on it in vertical, it balances just fine. But the gimbal produces some of the smoothest footage I've ever recorded. I love the extra handle and wrist rest it comes with, and I'm glad to know it has a port for the follow focus motor I will get in the future for my cinema lenses. I would recommend this product and I would buy it again.

Después de haber tenido varios gimbal de esta marca (Crane 3 Lab, Crane 2S, Crane M3, entre otros), este es el que me ha resultado más fiable y cómodo de usar, sin exceso de funciones que luego no usas, pero con todos lo controles necesarios, es para lo que es: estabilizar la cámara en ciertos planos que requieran movimientos concretos, y eso lo hace muy bien. Lo uso principalmente con una Sony FX3, objetivo 24-105 f4 bastante pesado, y matte box con filtro vnd. Además acoplo monitor externo al mango extensible del gimbal. Pros: -calidad de construcción -desmontado del mini trípode y plegado es muy compacto -función de disparo/grabación por bluetooth, sin necesidad de conectar cable a la cámara -posibilidad de enfoque manual mediante la rueda en la empuñadura del gimbal (con objetivos compatibles) -función de autocalibración de los motores -configuración sencilla y rápida -el reposamuñecas y mango secundario extensible marcan una enorme diferencia -duración de la batería sobresaliente contras -el botón de disparo/iniciar grabación no se puede disociar del enfoque (cada vez que lo pulsas para iniciar o parar la grabación, hará enfoque a menos que tengas el objetivo en manual), hay que tenerlo en cuenta -no hay forma de modificar la sensibilidad del joystick, lo que sería muy útil a la hora de realizar ciertos movimientos, limitando la velocidad de giro o cabeceo -incluye una bolsa de transporte muy bien hecha, de calidad, pero ENORME para el gimbal, además de forma cilíndrica (difícil de aprovechar el espacio, y de acceder a él) y por tanto nada práctica, ya que ningún filmmaker querrá llevar un bulto así solo para esto, cuando ya el equipo que llevamos es de por sí voluminoso. En resumen el mejor gimbal que he tenido, fiable, cómodo, de tamaño justo, completo y avanzado sin exceso de funciones.

I enjoy pointing my Sony zv-e10 at things when I’m out for a wander. But was getting bored with ordinary looking point and shoot results. In stepped this Gimbal. I’ve never really used one before as I always thought they seemed a bit annoying to set up. I was wrong. It took me 15 mins following a YT video and I was all set. Low learning curve too - so once you’ve down it once you’ll be able to adjust and start over with instruction. Using it is just as easy. The modes and controls are intuitive and easy to use. It’s comfy to hold for long periods of time, although I did buy the wrist rest / handle they make to add extra comfort - recommend spending the extra £100 or so. Plenty of guides online for making the most of the gimbal - creative ways to use it etc. it does take some practice, particularly for low down shots (as you can’t see the screen in the back of camera, unless it tilts up) but it’s fun to learn. If you’re a Vlogger then the one button selfie mode is great where it instantly rotates 180 degrees to focus on you rather than the scene. Charge time and length is great. The integrated light has also been a god send - it’s powerful, not a gimmick. Love that you can use it as a power bank too. Plenty of other accessories you can add if you’re looking to have this as part of a bigger rig with lights, screens, mics etc. Overall this gave me a new hobby and I’m loving the process as much as the results. Recommend.

Meine letzte Erfahrung mit einem Gimbal war der DJI Ronin S vor einigen Jahren und da hatte ich immer das Problem, dass das zwar ein toller Gimbal war, aber er war schwer mit den Spiegelreflexkameras und den passenden Objektiven. Ich bin filmerisch mittlerweile auf Sony und spiegellose Kameras umgestiegen. Bisher hat es auch immer ausgereicht, dass die Kamera auf einem Stativ steht oder ich kleine Bewegungen aus der Hand filmen konnte. Doch jetzt musste wieder ein Gimbal her und ich habe mich für die Marke Zhiyun entschieden, weil ich bisher viel Gutes darüber gehört habe. Ich habe auch schon ein LED-Licht von ZHYIUN und bin davon auch schon überzeugt. Der ZHIYUN Weebill 3s ist für mittlere Kameras wie die Sony A7C oder A7III (oder ähnliche) gemacht. Der Karton machte einen hochwertigen Eindruck und alles war sicher verpackt. Der Gimbal und alles Zubehör ist in einer Art Seesack verstaut. Alles war gut gepolstert und mit Laschen gesichert. Ich werde mir aber zeitnah noch einen Koffer besorgen, da ich den Sack sehr unpraktisch finde. Was mir direkt positiv aufgefallen ist, sind die Sicherungen an den Gelenken. So kann man beim Ausrichten der Kamera jede Achse entspannt und in Ruhe einstellen. Ich finde, dass das Ausrichten sehr schnell von der Hand geht. Man kann die Kamera einmal im Querformat und im Hochformat montieren. Dazu braucht man nicht mal mehr einen L-Winkel, denn man kann den Schlitten drehen. Allerdings muss man dann aufpassen, dass man erst die Kamera auf den Schlitten bringt und dann den Schlitten dreht. Es kann sonst passieren, dass die Halterung im Weg ist für den Kamerabody. (siehe eines der Bilder) Der Gimbal hat auch ein kleines Licht verbaut, was sicher in der ein oder anderen dunkleren Situation hilfreich sein kann. Man kann direkt am Griff die Helligkeit oder Farbtemperatur einstellen. Auch hat die Kamera direkt auf den Gimbal reagiert und ich konnte sofort die Aufnahme vom Griff aus starten. Toll finde ich die zusätzliche Stütze für das Handgelenk. So hat man den Weebill noch besser in der Hand und kann auch stabil mit einer Hand filmen, wenn nötig. Zusammenfassung: Gut finde ich: - Gewicht - einfacher und schneller Aufbau - Handstütze - Licht - Akku hat für mich immer über einen Tag gereicht (längere Produktionen kommen erst noch) - Ohne L-Winkel im Hochformat filmen zu können (aber der Umbau ist noch etwas umständlich) - Die App funktioniert auch sehr gut und auch damit kann man gut den Gimbal fernsteuern Nicht so gut finde ich: - Die Aufbewahrungstasche ist viel zu groß und verbraucht zu viel Platz für so einen kleinen Gimbal. Auch ist sie gegen Stöße nur bedingt gepolstert. Dafür hole ich mir einen Hardschalen-Koffer - Der Umbau auf Hochformat ist etwas sperrig. Da ist ein L-Winkel mit Schnellwechselplatte bestimmt die bessere Lösung oder man filmt einfach in 4K und schneidet sich dann raus was man braucht. - Größere Objektive lassen sich nicht ausrichten. An meiner Sony A7III habe ich ein Tamron 35-150 angebracht und dieses Objektiv konnte ich nicht ausbalancieren. Dafür ist der Weebill zu klein oder ich bräuchte eine Stativschelle am Objektiv. Fazit: Die Vorteile liegen klar auf der Hand und der Gimbal ist perfekt gemacht für Reportagen und Produktionen, wo einfach wenig Platz ist. Auch Content-Erstellung für Social Media ist problemlos möglich, wenn auch nicht ausgereift. Meine Empfehlung geht ganz klar an das Set mit Handstütze. Damit ist das Arbeiten so viel komfortabler und man hat beim Filmen noch mal mehr Sicherheit. Alles in allem ein super Produkt und ich bin von der Marke ZHIYUN sehr überzeugt.
