Perfect Succulent & Cactus Soil Mix – Healthy Roots & Happy Plants!
I’ve tried several soil blends for my succulents, but this succulent and cactus potting soil is by far the best! The fast-draining mix keeps roots from sitting in water, which prevents root rot and makes my plants thrive. It has the perfect balance of nutrients, perlite, and sand, giving excellent aeration and drainage. My aloe, echeveria, and jade plants are all looking fuller and healthier since switching to this soil. The texture is light and fluffy, making it super easy to work with when repotting indoor plants, terrariums, or outdoor planters. I also love that it’s ready-to-use—no need to mix in extra perlite or sand like with other brands. If you’re searching for the best succulent soil, cactus potting mix, or fast-draining indoor plant soil, this one is a must-have! It’s perfect for succulents, cacti, bonsai, aloe vera, jade plants, echeveria, lithops, and more.

The Saving Succulent Mix
I bought this as an absolute LAST resort after a fungus gnat infestation and root rot with my snake plants going on for months. Why a last resort? After significant leaf drooping I tried repotting, resoiling with store-bought succulent mix, Mosquito Bits, neem oil, neem meal, yellow sticky traps (which were/are awesome) you name it I tried it. Got some expensive but breathable new pots (don't use plastic!), and some fancy, highly rated organic soil right here on Amazon, and after all of it the gnats showed back up after a maximum of 2 weeks. I was at the point where I was sure I would just throw everything away. Now, I think all living things, even houseplants, deserve kindness and mercy, so that really was not an attractive option, and it was obvious they were still trying to grow and live. But trying and failing over and over and not understanding exactly why the problem persists takes it out of you. I bought this Hoffman mix and repotted my poor abused plants yet again in a short span of time, but it turned out to be the winning bet because the gnats are GONE. I am seeing new growth with my better pots and this potting mix. This mix does not include a lot of dead organic matter such as wood chips, pulp, etc, things I highly suspect make other blends totally worthless if not outright harmful. Buy this stuff and try it out! I for one am glad I can keep my plants healthy again thanks to this mix.

Great soil for succulents that need a little more moisture.
I love this succulent soil for rooting cuttings and in pots for some succulents. The succulents that come from a wetter climate do well in this soil. The are usually the ones that have thinner leaves like some kalachole and sansavaria. Also, cuttings and plants rooted from single leaves off a plant need a little more moisture until they have a healthy amount of roots. this soil has great drainage but a little more organic matter to hold a little bit more water. When propagating a succulent leaf and it has developed good roots I move them to a more rocky soil to prevent root rot. But if a thinner leafed plant does well with the extra moisture it stays in this soil. I have some crassula " springtime" that just wasn't happy in the rocky soil. The roots were very shallow and it didn't seem it was getting enough moisture as the leaves were dull and rubbery. I moved it to this soil and after a couple of days it already looks better. If I think the soil needs a little extra drainage I mix in more perlite.

Great soil
I had to replant a bunch of my cacti and I’ve been using this product. The size of the bags is a great value for the money. The texture of the soil is fine and is slightly moist, but not too much. Water goes through the soil as expected, but that’s really more on the user. If you pack it too tight it won’t drain right. The quality really is excellent and my plants really love the nutritional benefits. They have really perked up. In fact I got so much soil for such a low price that now I can go buy even more cacti plants!

Really good product
I have been looking for a good soil for succulents and all I found were bags of peat moss and compost with tons of big pieces of bark in it. This is not like that at all. It has a fine texture but still has the ingredients I wanted. I just ordered two more bags.

The soil retains so much water, no idea why. It has been 2 days and the soil is still wet even with drainage hole. I'll update the feedback in a month. I'll see how will my plants do. A quick update all plants are dead

I mixed this with some potting soil and fish gravel for my Thanksgiving cactus, she is over 30 years old and this had revived her! She is officially sprouting new stems! Whatever is in it must be working so I have no complaints :-)

Works really great for succulents. A decent sized, resealable bag is convenient.
