At last! a reliable 3 way valve for 18mths
It works! After several months of operation this has performed flawlessly. I've tried 3 different ones before this from other manufacturers. I was suspicious of the capacitor return (resets the valve when power is removed) but it's been fine. Unfortunately I preferred a 'T' operating valve rather than the 'L' operation that this has. So I had to completely redo the plumbing around it. So glad I fitted the plumbing with unions to facilitate this! I would recommend unions anyway for this mechanical component with moving parts that is liable to be the least reliable component in your system - you will change this every 10yrs, whether you wanted to or not. Also 220Vac actuation is difficult to find in this type of valve but was required for my system. Note that the ball and the internal aperture is way less than 1" (maybe 5/8"?) and thus the valve has a significant pressure drop and flow restriction when operating. This is normal unless you buy a very expensive "professional" unit. Update 6/29/25: After 18mths operation the valve now occassionally sticks in the "open" (SW on) position. small tap with a hammer or loosen and re-tighten one of the plastic casing screws cures it, but not permanently. Investigationg if this an actuator issue or a mechanical (wear) issue...

Well constructed and really compact. I really like the separate wiring for indicator lights for status of valve, a real bonus.

Perfect Valve
LOVE THIS THING !! I use it with my Radiant system to control the flow between Heating my presser tank only (very efficient), then switching from the tank to feed all my Zones. There is a Flow Direction Indicator on top that is a life saver !!!

Wrong wiring
I ordered the 1" version of this valve for 110v. The valve supplied is labeled for 110v but the wiring is what I would expect for low voltage. I have the same valve for 1/2" and 110v that came with the appropriate wire and plug. If it turns out the 1" version was mislabeled and I hook up 110v I will fry the motor. Not sure what to do.....but I'm not happy.
