Crystal Clear Tape

GREAT product! This stuff WORKS! My husband’s mother arrived for an extended visit at our home w/ a damaged hard shell, densely packed suitcase that was cracked in a few places, mostly close to a wheel that was barely holding on & also had long split on the side. Unknown if it was already damaged before this trip, but we didn’t discover it until we were helping her pack for the return flight. No time or money to go shopping for a new one so we used this Gorilla Tape on the inside & outside of those cracks. She was taking home much more than she brought & her overly packed suitcase weighed in at just over 100lbs, but the side didn’t split any wider nor did the cracks around the wheel give way. It all held with this amazingly strong tape & it made it back to her home without ANY issues. Also, since the tape is clear it was barely obvious that her suitcase was being held together by it. I also used it recently as a temporary “repair” to some siding that was damaged by our lawn service. It was about to rain when I discovered the hole so I quickly covered it w/ the tape then forgot about it. It’s been a few months already since I did that & remarkably it has held as a secure barrier against all the direct sun, high heat, humidity & lots of rain we’ve had this summer. I am truly impressed by this product’s strength & performance!

This clear tape has become my preferred choice, and it is the only brand I rely on for all my repair and other needs. I have been purchasing this tape since its initial release. The adhesive quality significantly surpasses that of other tape brands. It is both easier to tear off a piece and much simpler to cut to the desired size. When applied correctly for leak prevention (ensuring the tape is smoothed out evenly with the appropriate tools), it maintains an incredibly strong hold. There is no need for concern; I previously utilized it to seal water out of a taillight that had a perforation, and it perfectly sealed and prevented water from entering. To give you an idea of how incredible this tape is for sealing, my taillight that I sealed with this tape was right above a sprinkler where I parked daily, and after applying it, zero water entered my taillight. Currently, I employ it for a wide range of repair needs, such as addressing an unintended hole in a plant pot or securing broken glass or a mirror. Once smoothed, it is virtually invisible unless specifically scrutinized. This tape offers a multitude of applications; I genuinely appreciate it because it eliminates the need for various different tapes or other materials to mend items—this single product accomplishes everything!

I’ve used this Gorilla Crystal Clear Tape on a variety of projects, both indoors and outdoors, and it’s seriously impressive. I honestly didn’t expect something so simple to work so well, but this clear tape absolutely saved my trip. I ended up with a small tear in the sunroof of my tent right before a stretch of bad weather. Instead of packing up and heading home, I used this tape to patch the hole — and it did amazing. The tape adhered immediately and stayed put, even with changing temperatures and steady rain. Because it’s clear, it didn’t block out light coming through the sunroof, which was a big plus. It created a tight seal and kept water completely out. No leaks, no peeling edges, no constant reapplying. What impressed me most was how durable it turned out to be. Wind, moisture, and tension from the tent didn’t cause it to lift or come off. It was a quick fix that ended up being a reliable solution. If you camp, overland, or spend time outdoors, keeping a roll of this clear tape in your gear is a no-brainer. It turned what could’ve been a trip-ending problem into a minor inconvenience. Highly recommend.

I HAVE PURCHASED THIS TAPE BEFORE AND IT REALLY LIVES UP TO THE DESCRIPTION. IT IS SO VERY STRONG AS FAR AS ADHESION, it IS SUPER STICKY AND WILL ABSOLUTELY DO THE JOB AS DESCRIBED. IT SEALS SUPER WELL, HOLDS UP TO WEATHER… WET OR HUMID ETC. IT HAS AREAS TO HELP TEAR THE TAPE FROM THE ROLL, BUT IT IS CROOKED, CAN BE CLUMSY, AND CAUSE THE AMOUNT OF TAPE YOU WANT TO USE FOLD BACK ON ITSELF. I THINK THAT COULD HAVE BEEN THOUGHT OUT A LITTLE BETTER. I ACTUALLY USED THIS TAPE TO HOLD MY CAR’S SIDE MIRROR UP BECAUSE SOMEONE HIT MY CAR. THE HOUSING ALL CAME OUT AND THE CASING WAS DANGLING!!! IT IS HEAVY TOO BECAUSE I DRIVE A 2007 YUKON. THIS TAPE IS SO STRONG AND IT HELD MY MIRROR AND WIRES IN, AND IT HELD THE ENTIRE PIECE UP!!! THAT IS A LOT OF WEIGHT TO HOLD TOGETHER AND THIS TAPE DID THE JOB UNTIL I WAS ABLE TO GET IT FIXED!!!! THEN, I BACKED UP INTO MY DAUGHTERS CAR CAUSING MULTIPLE CRACKS AND LITTLE PIECES OF MY BRAKE LIGHT COVER TO BE BROKEN. I WHIPED OUT THIS TAPE AND IT HAS BEEN HOLDING FOR ABOUT 5 MONTHS NOW. STILL LOOKS PERFECT AND IS HOLDING AS WELL AS THE DAY I APPLIED IT! SURPRISINGLY, IT IS EASILY REMOVED. I SIMPLY UNRAVELED THE TAPE ACCORDING TO HOW I PUT IT ON. YOU NEED A LITTLE ELBOW GREASE OF COURSE, BUT I WAS ABLE TO DO IT. I WRAPPED MY TREE TRUNKS WITH THIS TAPE, STICKY SIDE UP, AND HAVE CAUGHT ABOUT 300 SPOTTED LANTERN FLY NYMPHS SO FAR. THE TAPE THAT IS SOLD FOR THIS PURPOSE IS CHEAP AND TEARS EASILY. I USE THIS AND I HAVE EVEN TRAPPED THE ADULT SLF’s THAT ARE SUDDENLY EMERGING. THIS TAPE IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST FOR ANY JOB THAT NEEDS HEAVY ADHESION. I RECOMMEND THIS TAPE EXTREMELY HIGHLY BECAUSE IT IS TRULY WHAT IT SAYS IT IS …AN AMAZINGLY SUPER STRONG TAPE THAT CAN BE PUT TO THE TEST AND PASS WITH FLYING COLORS!!! I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND IT VERY HIGHLY AND I PROMISE THAT YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS PRODUCT. BUY WITHOUT RESERVATION!! A+++

This stuff is amazing. It is NOT like the common clear packing tape from other brands. Gorilla does sell a packing tape, but Crystal Clear is fundamentally different. The tape backing itself is a vinyl based plastic, not the harder, stiff clear stuff. This gives it far superior workability because it is conformable to curving surfaces with odd curves. It doesn't stretch a lot, just enough to make it easy to cover curves. The adhesive is amazing and very sticky, it even works underwater assuming you get the air bubbles out from under it when you apply it. Third, and almost best of all, it is *highly* UV resistant. I can't tell that it ages in the sun at all, I have it in places which have been in the sun since I discovered this stuff, 7 *years* ago...and it is still stuck down tight and not crispy from sun exposure. I use this stuff everywhere and hope to god they never discontinue it. I quit buying the other packing tape style stuff since I discovered Gorilla Crystal Clear.

When I need tape, whether it’s traditional duct tape in gray, black, or whatever color, or this crystal-clear tape, I always make sure it’s the Gorilla brand. I use a lot of their tapes outside after years of being frustrated with other brands. This is the one that, if it says weather-resistant, believe me, it is. It adheres, and you don’t have to worry about it coming off due to rain, wind, whatever. The glue they use is an excellent formula because when you touch it to something, it’s going to stay there, and as anyone who’s used this product knows, if you touch it with your fingers. It’s not pleasant. Getting your fingers off the sticky side. The tape is clear and they use the word Crystal, which is exactly what it is crystal clear. Overall, I’m always extremely happy with anything Gorilla makes, whether it’s tape, glue, or whatever. I’m always 100% satisfied, and I feel that the pricing for this tape on Amazon is the best around.

It's just the best tape in the world, that's all. This tape can hold heavy items. But the best part is that you can remove this tape and then put it back on again without leaving a mark.

Low quality, useless product. The Claim of 'for the toughest jobs on planet earth ' ടeems to be a joke. Not at all worthy of its cost. The video attached proves what a failure the product is

Es una cinta excelente, me parece un poco cara, pero su capacidad de agarre es superior a otras cintas, no se despega si le cae agua encima, pero no funciona tanto para sumergir en agua. Aun así es un producto de muy alta calidad. Vale la pena aun con el precio porque su fijación supera a cualquier otra cinta que haya probado.
