I'm not your typical coffee drinker but I bought this for a friend who likes to grind his own beans as a birthday gift. I asked him what he thought so I could write this review accordingly. He prefers beans from where I think most coffee comes from, South America. I was trying to find something on the more affordable side that didn't compromise on flavor. So far as I can tell, this one fits the bill quite well. My friend was very satisfied with the taste of these beans. I didn't get any big "wow" factor from his response so I'm guessing they aren't particularly special in any way. He did say that it was flavorful and not at all bitter. He said that the beans seemed to be fresh to him and the aroma from brewing them was pleasant to smell. He's not super picky but he does prefer freshness, as I'm sure most coffee drinkers do. I asked him if he would consider purchasing this brand of coffee again and he said it was primarily dependant upon the cost. I told him how much this bag cost me and he said sure, he would buy them again. I found it somewhat difficult to find an unflavored bean which my friend also prefers so if you're looking for an affordable, fresh, and unflavored coffee bean, I'd say you found it.
