I’ve had one of these U-shaped pillows once before and although they are the most comfortable pillows ever at their best, there are a couple of major drawbacks. The first is that the “legs” of the pillow have a tendency to spread wider than you might choose, thus losing the ability to nestle in the middle and be surrounded by pillow. If you insert them under the covers of a bed, this helps to mitigate the problem but doesn’t solve it altogether. The other and probably bigger issue is that I’ve found in the past that lumps and creases develop over time which means U-shaped pillows I’ve had in the past have lost their supportiveness more quickly than standard straight or smaller pillows. I cannot yet say whether this particular pillow will fall prey to the second issue, but the it definitely has a tendency to splay wider than I want. I found it works best in conjunction with a weighted blanket that both helps keep it in place and provides a wonderfully womb-like nap experience! I’m not pregnant but you don’t need to be to appreciate the comfort and support this pillow offers. Especially if you sleep on your own, it is just delicious to have a body length pillow to rest a leg over and not to have to move it every time you roll over. This pillow comes super compressed in a reusable vacuum packed bag. The manufacturers recommend leaving it a day or two to regain its original shape and fill out, though I slept on it within minutes of unpacking. There was no odour which was a nice surprised and it was very comfy, although I think it did fill out more over the next day or so. I love that the cover is velvet as it makes it feel even more luxurious. It is currently priced at £35.99 and well worth that, though would be even better if there was a way to revive it and ensure its longevity.

This item arrived in a vacuum storage bag that can be reused.Once it's released from the bag it soon returns to original size and it doesn't have any noticeable odour to it.It's made up of two parts, the outer grey covering and a zipped interior that is filled with loose filling.The filling isn't even throughout the pillow, there are parts where there is very little filling and others where it's just right but unfortunately there isn't enough filling to have the right amount throughout, and because of this I've deducted a ☆.I have a back problem that interferes with my comfort in bed and so affects my sleep so I will try anything that may help.This is meant for use by pregnant ladies but I thought it would help me, and it does.I have to sleep on my side, and I also use leg pillows overnight, but the pillows move while I'm asleep.This pillow is large, but it stays on my side of the bed, so it's not going to affect my hubby. I've only used it for one night but it seems better than the leg pillows.I do have a concern with the filling, I'm not convinced the filling will remain as plush and as comfortable as it is now, i think if it was packed better, with more filling, it would last longer.My first experience with this cushion is that it's comfortable and does help, however it will be difficult if you need to change position overnight, and as it's close to your body it will make you feel warmer which could be a problem in the warmer nights.It's something that I may not use every night but for the occasions when my pain is at its worst, I'm sure this will prove invaluable.
