I've trusted Aqua Mira for many years.
We've used Aqua Mira to purify drinking water while backpacking and camping for many years. It does not improve discoloration or particles suspended in the water as a pump filter would, but it does get rid of other nasties in backwoods streams and actually improves the taste of water, in my opinion. Simple to mix and use, and no boiling required. Also very light to carry.

It works
This stuff works well. I stored water way beyond the recommended duration with this stuff in it, and it was still fine years after the date it was supposed to be preserved for. YOUR MILEAGE MAY VARY. I recommend you follow instructions and always stay within the guidelines. Store the product bottles carefully... if they break open, the concentrated contents can be corrosive to metals. Yes, I would highly recommend this product and will continue to buy it as needed.

Great product for the purpose. I'll be using it again.
Used product to add to water pump from natural water sources in the outdoors hiking . Many different water sources and Hiking through Farmland with livestock. Use the product for extra precaution for cleansing and purification of any residual bacteria protozoa . Product work very good. of course the chlorine taste isn't very good not sure anything can be done about that. The chlorine taste is tolerable but not pleasant. Opening each tablet package cumbersome because the tablets are so small you can drop them and lose them. If possible a small container where one tablet can be pushed out at a time would be easier to dispense especially during hiking and outdoor use when your hands are very dirty because there is limited hand-washing available. I assume the package this way because moisture contamination and deterioration of the tablets Making packaging tricky.

No longer a reliable product
I’ve been using this product for 15+ years because it used to be a reliable product, until they changed the bottles a few years ago. I’ve bought a set every year and for the past 5 or so years, Part A fails every time. It has a bad seal, which causes bottles to lose pressure, making squeezing out drops impossible. When I transferred to another container recently, the solution was full of small white specks, like a snow globe — bits of the inside of the bottle flaking perhaps? To make matters worse, Aquamira customer service is stingy and won’t back their product if not purchased directly through their website (even though Amazon has an Aquamira store). They told me it wasn’t safe to use but offered no alternative. I don’t recommend using them after being left high and dry on wilderness trips again and again.
