This type of Pilates from APPI is the same used by my Pilates teacher. It is the toughest and most effective I have ever done. I wouldn’t advocate using a DVD instead of going to a class, as you do need to be corrected and instructed in person. But it is an easy to follow and well made series that is a great way to build on your class.

I was advised to get this DVD by my Pilates teacher so that I can do some exercise at home. It is a very clear and helpful DVD.

Liked the clear instructions and the relaxed feeling after using the DVD. Did not like the beginning of the DVD as the writing was faded at the 5 elements part.

Really disappointing and I'm mystified by the excellent reviews. I bought this having tried the APPI Pilates for back pain and finding it easy so thought this might be a progression. It is no more challenging. If you've ever done any Pilates before, you'd find this DVD beginner level and certainly not Intermediate as stated. It was slow, boring and had less moves than any other Pilates DVD I've used before. My body wasn't even warm after the entire DVD so when at the end the 'cool down' section appeared, I had to laugh as I was already cool. I immediately popped another Pilates DVD on after this to get a better workout and felt much better! And at such a price, I'm gutted.

Very good DVD, easy to follow and very safe movements. This was the second DVD I ordered the first jumped so much I couldn't watch it.

This dvd is excellent! The exercises are the same as some of the ones we do in my class, which means I can practice at home without the extra cost of going to another class. The exercises are described very clearly and done at a good pace.
