OXO Good Grips Soap Dispensing Dish Sponge

Love this tool, but it eventually stops working, I'm on my fourth one.

It’s my go to brush for doing dishes. My only complaint is that i cannot buy authentic replacement sponges. I have bought three of these.

It gets the job done, but for the extra cost of the wand and the sponges it is not a great value. I holds up as poorly as the cheap Libby ones for an extra cost. I transitioned from the Libby wands due to the sponge replacements becoming harder to source. The squirting button above the sponge shoots an excessive amount of detergent so not only am I overpaying for the sponge refills, it wastes dish soap and creates a waste factor there as well. Does it clean your dishes well? Yes, but they all do. If the brand name is important to you then suit yourself. I would prefer to go back to my coat effective brand that lasted just as long for a fraction of the cost.

So I like the concept of this but I feel it could be designed a little bit better. It sometimes leaks out soap while using and I wish the sponge was a little bit stronger. I like to use this in my shower.

Easy to use. The handle is sturdy.

I have used this product for YEARS and have always found it to be an indispensible kitchen item for washing items by hand, which I do frequently. There were a few issues with the original design--to dispense detergent, you had to push the rubber button pretty forcefully, and eventually my thumbnail would break through it, rendering it useless for dispensing. In the last year or so they've redesigned it and it no longer works as well as it did. A push of the button on the handle is supposed to dispense detergent, but it rarely works, and the soap reservoir takes on water until the liquid is just runny water with a little detergent and does not dispense at all. Then I end up unscrewing the end cap and pouring a little of the soapy water onto whatever I'm washing; my husband keeps the detergent bottle next to the sink and squirts detergent from it, which is very wasteful. Neither option works any better than the sponge and handle itself. I guess I'll get one more handle and see if it works because I don't know of another product that looks as good as this one SHOULD work, but I'm very disappointed in OXO's redesign and how poorly this functions.

Purpose of buying this: Avoid the wrist pain and increase ease of cleaning dishes Price: A bit high but you do get what you pay for Quality: Chunky with a rubbery handle that provides great grip in terms of fit and slip resistance. The handle itself is super easy to clean Sponge: Great to use however is mildly thin, would be careful when cleaning knives and other sharp kitchen tools Soap dispenser: Not terrible however does require a bit of force and the handle pointing straight down. Using the dispenser a few times was difficult which resulted in me applying the soap directly on the sponge and cleaning dishes. Overall: despite the soap dispenser being difficult, I would recommend this to anyone especially for those who have older parents with arthritis. Its not marketed as ergonomic but it does save the wrists from constantly bending and twisting. Would buy again and probably the only thing I would use in the kitchen from here on out.

I used to use another brand but they changed the texture on the outside of the sponge and I felt it was not cleaning my dishes well. This is a basic sponge, no fancy new texturized finish. Cleans well and rinses well after scrubbing pots and pans. Love that I can press the back and release extra soap as needed. The wand part is designed to fit well in your hand. I've ditched the old brand and bought extra sponge heads for this one.

Horribly designed and useless. If you press on the sponge, the dirty soap and water goes back up into the soap dispenser. Complete waste of money that stopped using after one day.
