BEST ENERGY SAVING 3 x LED BULBS FOR your home, perfect for kitchen, living room and porch giving you wide 270ยฐ beam angle, very bright 10W 840 Lumens (70W) output, warm white colour, B22 base A60 bulb : desertcart.co.uk: Lighting Review: Gorgeous warm but bright LED light in a traditional bulb shape - A very attractive and seemingly good quality LED bayonet bulb - the light is a soft warm white but is beautifully bright at 840 lumens (60 watts in old money, but seems brighter). If you're fed up with the promises of low energy bulbs which take forever to warm up to full brightness, or energy-sucking halogen bulbs which pop with disappointing frequency, then the Atapa Light bulb is a good alternative. I was very pleasantly surprised when I switched it on - hooray, immediate full brightness. It's LED (so low energy consumption; shouldn't become hot to the touch) using only 10w, according to the maker. Upon fitting - fits nicely into a traditional ceiling light bayonet fitting - I'm exceedingly pleased with the brightness, the look, and the soft light quality thanks to the opaque glass. It has a taller body than traditional bayonet bulbs (by about 1.5cm) so you may want to ensure your light fitting can accommodate it in, say, a lamp. I'd say it's certainly worthwhile for the light quality and the fact that it's an LED packaged in a traditional-shaped bulb. I've only had it operational for a week, and it's a little pricey, but if it lives up to its promises of A+ energy class (claiming 85% savings on energy use) and 25,000 hours of life, I'll be coming back for more. Review: Great bulbs - or so I thought at first - Brighter and softer than the old 60W filament bulbs they replaced and illuminate the room better. At only 10W consumption instead of 60W, they represent a good saving in running costs and are more eco friendly. They should also last a great deal longer than the old ones which have a short life these days. Although quite expensive, they seem a good investment. They are tradtionally shaped and fit the standard bayonet holders but are a bit bigger than the old filament bulbs, measuring 120mm long and 60mm wide (as stated in the seller's product description.) They stick out of the ends of my light shades a little but this is not a problem. I am very pleased with the performance and efficiency of these bulbs. UPDATE: It is now some 10 months since I made this purchase. One of the 3 bulbs expired after only 3 months and another has now also expired. One of the main reasons I bought these bulbs was their longevity, as claimed by the seller, and I am therefore very disappointed with their performance, especially given the price paid. I wouldn't now give them more than 2 stars.

Excellent. Just ordered some more.
Really impressed with this bulb, so have ordered more. Recently changed a bulb to an 'old fashioned' 100watt bulb (because it was the first one I came across in the house) it was too high a wattage for the lamp shade, but we decided we liked the extra light/brightness. We stopped using 'energy' bulbs when we found out about the health risks involved and after a conversation with someone who said that "LED is the future" I went on a hunt to see if there were bayonet versions available... Woah! Of course there are, there are oodles of them. A short surf later and I'd had a quick lesson in lumens etc and started the hunt for a bayonet bulb that was as bright as possible and had as wide sphere of illumination as possible, which led me to this bulb. It was on all evening and nobody noticed any difference from the 100watt bulb it had replaced. A nice clean, bright light, which illuminates the room almost the same as the old bulb. Very impressed. Yes LED bulbs are more expensive, but they apparently last a LOT longer than trad bulbs, (which will be excellent for things like landing lights which are hard to reach.) and of course are using a fraction of the energy. We'll be slowly replacing all the bulbs in the house with them.

Instant on, very bright, great spread, failed after 6 months
Room seems much brighter than the CFL that they replaced, although output was listed as equivalent. They throw light upwards to the ceiling, so that does make the room seem taller and brighter. They are not a warm white, which might not be to everyone's tastes, but I really love the clarity. I am reducing the rating to 2 stars now because first bulb has just failed after 3 hours per day use after only 6 months. Reduce again because I am now down to none of the bulbs working after just over a year. LED arw supposed to last longer. Really bad value for money.

Better than regular bulbs
Bulbs were well received in one piece! We were fitting them in wall fixtures, and had a few issues getting them in because of the size, but got there in the end. I think if we had a smaller size, we'd be happier with them, because you can see the top of the bulb over the fixtures-but this is probably my fault as I didn't even think to look at the size. I love that there is no waiting period for them to become max light. I heard the cost of LED bulbs was really high-this is a good price. The only negative I would say, is they are extremely bright. We turn them on before it gets dark otherwise, it's too bright! I opted for the "warm" white" option. The description does say very bright, but was hoping the warm description wouldn't be as shocking. I don't think this is a problem with the product, just trial and error with what works for our room. Being new to LED lights, I don't have much trial and error judgement! If you're looking for a softer feel, try a lower wattage. Very bright for LED is different than a normal bulb.

ATAPA 3LED 10w Bulbs
Wasn't quite sure what to expect from LED bulbs but was pleasantly surprised that a 10w 840 lumens bulb seems to give the same amount of illumination as the 100w 1300 lumens incandescent bulb. That's a saving of 90watts per hour for the same illumination. Just need to see if the longevity claims of 30,000 hours are supported. Could be 20 years or more before I'll know whether that's true though. The ATAPA bulbs seem well made and for the price would appear to be good value compared to incandescent bulbs so I would recommend them. They are an improvement on the coiled fluorescent bulbs in that they are pretty much instant illumination when switched on and don't have to warm up. Some of my older coiled fluorescent bulbs take a good 30 - 90 seconds to reach full illumination though they are pretty much the same wattage as LEDs. All in all I'm pleased with these bulbs and will probably be changing all my bulbs in due course.

Leaves edges and corners in shadow, and doesn't last long
These bulbs are brighter than the fluorescent energy saving bulbs that they replaced in my home, but unfortunately the spread angle of the lighting isn't very broad, meaning that they're great in hallways and narrow spaces, but in normal sized rooms they leave the edges and corners in shadow a bit. Great product for the right space, but for general room use I'd save my money and buy cheaper energy saving bulbs, or maybe spend more on wider angle bulbs. For reference my typical room size is about 16' or 5m long. UPDATE: I bought two packs of three of these bulbs seven months ago. They keep failing much sooner than advertised.

Excellent Quality for the Price. Look no further
Excellent bulb, very surprised at the quality of light, its output and overall performance of this bulb. I have tried many design brands and seen various cheaper options used by friends. This ATAPA bulb is now my defacto goto make for lighting as it is so cost effective compared to my other brand which until now I rated the best. This was the AuraGlow brand that I have been using for years, mostly their GU10 units. Well done ATAPA. As for extra details on the lighting quality, other reviewers have provided excellent detailed reviews so no need for me to repeat. Suffice to say at present Feb-2016 price of ยฃ16.99 for 3 of these units delivered, this is the best you can get for the money, period.
