I thought this was much larger than it turned out to be. It runs very quietly, I have it in the small animal room as I am fostering hamsters and fancy mice until homes can be found, and although I clean the 4 cages every week the smell starts to accumulate. This HIMOX (I have 3 other HIMOX air purifiers) uses 4 in 1 Medical Grade H13 True HEPA Filter which according to the written word captures 99.9% of air pollutants. (HIMOX replacement filters are available as I order them for my other HIMOX machines). It says that it can clean up to 1086 square feet but the small animal room is roughly 300 square feet. When I first turned it on it was RED for a long time then after a LONG time turned GREEN. Now if I open the top of the cages one by one to feed and water the pets the HIMOX will turn blue, but return to green pretty quickly after I leave the room. I know this machine is working because no one is complaining about the smell when I open the door to the animal room.

This was a perfect size, not too large not tiny. A little on the loud side for me but overall I think it's doing it's job. we don't smoke or have pets so i can't judge it on that. I do live on a busy street so we get a lot of dust and it seems to be keeping a lot of the particles out of the air. My allergies inside have not acted up since having this. I like it a lot.

Works great, love that you can't hear. Makes air seem fresher. My allergies have not bothered me this season so far.

I really like this air purifier. I use it in the hallway outside of my daughters room for the dogs that she has inside. It really does take care of the odor if there is any, the pet dander, and the pet hair. Before I put this out there, the filter in the air conditioning unit would always be full of nothing but dust and dog hair within a week. But since putting that air purifier in that area the filter is not full of pet hair or dust. I may actually get three months usage out of the air filter in the air conditioning unit Islas advertised with the help of the air purifier.

I think this is a very well featured filter. It has four colors that indicate how clean the air is in the room, which i like knowing. The filter has multiple fan speeds, in addition to an automatic fan mode. The lights can be turned off which is helpful if you want the room to be dark. The fan is exceptionally quiet. The filter has a filter condition indicator. Unlike other filters i have seen and used, this is a very compact unit. The filter is ETL marked, which i think is important as it shows the filter has been tested by a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory.
