I love Glenn Kotche, a drumming genius, and was delighted to find these the day after seeing Wilco. I love the coating, they do indeed cling to your hands and let you loosen up, I love the length and the active wave is great (just don't use it for playing on the rim turned around!), but I had one issue that took two stars off: the wooden tip. I'm a long term user of nylon tips largely for their durability, they also sound and feel great to me. I bought these hoping that at last I'd found a wooden tip that I could stick with a while, but sadly after a few band rehearsals and a gig last night, one of the tips is already shredding, making these one of the shortest lived pairs of sticks I've ever bought. It's OK if you are a pro and can use a new pair every gig, but I want my stick to last a while. I normally use a Vic Firth 5AN and I can easily do 10+ gigs with one of those with no damage to the stick at all, I'm not a particularly hard hitter. In essence, if these came in a nylon tip format, they'd up there as one of my favourite sticks.

The sticks came with loads of chips on the tip and the handle, I'm sure it's a great stick but dissapointed that the stick didn't come in the best condition
