Granny Jo Products Fleece Cape

My 90 yr old mother gets cold arms easily in her nursing home. I ordered this and it promptly came in and was the most beautiful shade of blue! A bluebell type color. It's 100% polyester plush and very soft material. She was complimented on how pretty it looked which she loved. At the home's Christmas party I was able to wheel her to the common room in a wheelchair to listen to a band play Christmas music and hymns. She wore the cape and told me her arms were nice and warm. There is so little we can buy her now, she needs nothing that isn't supplied at the home. But this beautiful wrap was something useful plus pretty and I could tell she loved her Christmas gift this year! (My mom is around 5'6 now and about 150 lbs. She wears a medium to large in clothes but I ordered a S/M in the cape after reading the other reviews and it was perfect! A M/L would have been too large.)

This was one of my mother’s Christmas gifts this year and she loves it. She’s 97 years old and when she sits in her rocker recliner her shoulders and upper body always get cold. She said it is so soft and keeps her nice and warm. She especially loves the fact that it has a place, almost like pockets, to slip your hands in to keep them warm as well. She is more than happy with this shawl as it is comfy cozy. She keeps it opened up on the back of her recliner so when she sits down she just pulls it down over her shoulders/upper body. I told her in the summer she could also just lay it across her lap/legs to keep them warm if need be. I also would like to mention the color (pink) is so pretty and it is also very well made!!

I would have given this 5 stars if the fabric was just a little softer. This is not the "Oh!" kind of silky-soft, but still quite soft. A 7/8 out of 10 on the softness scale. But my mom likes it, likes the color, the warmth, and the little pockets at the corners to keep her hands extra warm. It's also lightweight so easy for her to move around by herself, which is important. Generous size and versatile. She can use it as a cape/shawl, or pull up to cover her chest and shoulders as a small blanket.

I’m not big on writing reviews but since this cape has been a lifesaver, I thought I should share my thoughts. I underwent rotator cuff surgery 2 months ago. After a week in recovery I realized I needed a cape in lieu of a sweater or jacket or even long sleeve pajamas. I have used this cape every day since. I’m not able to bend my arm to maneuver a sleeved garment. This cape is warm, soft and comfortable. I wear it in the house all day and even at night for added warmth. I am 5’ tall and 115 lbs and the S/M size was fine for me. Since I am constantly icing my shoulder, I needed something to take off the chill. Sometimes I just need to cover my shoulders or exposed arm which is resting above the covers on a pillow. The pockets come in handy too. It looks good enough to wear outside the house as well. I’ve received complements on it! Washing and drying is no problem either. The only addition I needed was this garment clip. It was vital to be able to grab the cape (one handed) and properly position. That might be a great add-on for future sales. Without the clip, positioning the cape with one hand can be frustrating. Besides the ice machine, it was my Best Buy for surgery recovery, looks better, and will last much longer!

I have two different colors because I love them. I’m disabled and in bed 22 out of 24 hours a day. It’s hard to keep shoulders warm with blankets. These do the job.

My mum loves this, practical for covering your shoulders without the bulk of a blanket or restriction of a jacket or cardigan. Lovely and cosy.

Got this for my Aunt she is 96 and she uses it every day. It is the perfect weight length and with putting her hands in the bottom on the inside and crossing her arms the wrap closes and she is snuggly warm. The color is a rich navy .it washes fantastically NO shrinking NO pilling NO fading NO wrinkling after the dryer .This makes the perfect gift for Birthday Mother's Day Christmas or just because.GREAT Purchase.Thank You . This is perfect for me, not too thick and not too thin. It keeps me lovely and warm without overheating and comes all the way down to comfortably past the small of my back. (5ft 7 and size 24.) I bought the large. It's got inside pockets at the front corners which are lovely to tuck your hands into. Would love a button to be around the top of the chest area just to stop it parting but that's not much of an issue so five stars to this great purchase.
