Analog to Digital Audio Converter (ADC Converter)

I have a project EVO 2 turntable and a high end digital inputs and digital outputs pre pro. I wanted to find a way to connect my analogue turntable to my digital prepro. Step in the just purchased Analogue to Digital converter. It was so easy to set up, zero noise level, functioned immediately upon connection via my optical in port on my digital prepro. And RCA out ports on the turntable. Easy to connect to the power source via USB type C connection. This seems to be one of only a handful of Analogue to digital converters on the market. So many that go the other way digital to analogue. Be sure to understand which way you require your signal pathway to go. Now my analogue turntable is connected to my digital prepro in a linear and straight forward way. Even though the sound being processed by my prepro is now digital it still retains the warmth and nuanced characteristics of the original analogue signal. Excellent piece of kit at a great price. I was so impressed with it's functionality that I bought another one. Both working flawlessly in my high end spec system. I highly recommend this unit.

Did the job

I bought this to use with a similar small DAC to eliminate an earth loop with a sub-woofer that is from my AVR. Instead of a 10m RCA cable, I now have a 10m optical cable. This has cured the earth loop and reduced other noise. I cannot detect any distortion introduced by the double conversion (analogue to digital via this device and back again with the other).

Very easy to set up with my Sony Bluetooth turntable and KEF LSX speakers. Originally tried RCA extension cables, got hum. Now extended with optical cable sound is fantastic. Sound much better than Bluetooth. Highly recommended.

I recently acquired a ZX Spectrum Next on Kickstarter and wanted to connect it to my Sonos Ray soundbar which sits on my desk. Problem is that the Sonos only accepts a digital optical input, which is where this little gadget comes in. It takes an analogue input (via a stereo RCA cable) and converts to an optical out. Worked perfectly in my scenario and sounded great. Recommended!

This has got to be the best value for money and best kept secret I have discovered in 40 years of buying hifi products. I have a heavily modified, audiophile headphone amplifier which, I use for listening to vinyl. This little device converting the analog signal from my turntable to my Beresford caiman seg dac destroys my existing analog amp. No contest, the ADC is that good. Feeding the dac via toslink there is no hum. Crystal clear sound without losing that lovely vinyl warmth. Soundstage, the decay of cymbals and intricate detail is incredible. A lot is testament to the excellent dac but am sure it will work excellently in any system Just buy one!

I have had a few different makes of these. This one is probably the best. I like it has an led to show you when it’s working. I used an old Apple iphone usb supply to power it. The sound quality is pretty good and on a small system using the analogue signal direct is no better or worse. Hard to criticise. It works and works well at the price and of the cheap ones this is the best I have had.

Brilliant for what I wanted it for sometimes it just needs to be reset by unplugging the power if there's no sound.
