Ortis Double Outlet RV Appliance Surge Protector (Black)

Purchased this for use with portable AC in master bedroom. I need a cold room to sleep well, so run the AC during the night. Unfortunately all outlets in the room are on a single circuit, but not normally an issue and circuit isn;t overloaded during normal use. A few times during this year my neighborhood would get power outages during the night and everything starting back up at once on that circuit was tripping the breaker. Installed this to delay the AC unit restarting and haven't had a tripped breaker since. I haven't timed it to verify the 30 second claim, but it is long enough to avoid the breaker tripping surge without being so long that you have time to wonder if it's working. The proper solution for my situation would be to install a dedicatyed outlet for the AC, or to install a minisplit for the bedroom. My plan is to do the latter, because it's better and quieter. Unfortunately neither one is in the cards for the near future and this is an excellent alternative.

Seems to be a quality device, the instructions are a little over my head. I hope that it protects my garage freezer and refrigerator from surging power outages.

Hard to judge the surge protection without a lab setting, and the surge protection level is low compared to what I see on my computer UPS, but I've added these for our freezers and refrigerators. What sets this one apart is the digital readout, though you may not be able to see this if your installation prevents accessing the "screen."

Unit gets warm with just 11A through it continuously. I don't suspect fire risk, but it is a power loss that won't get to the appliance.

We were having issues with an old surge protector failing and kicking off our refrigerator. This one is specifically made to handle larger appliances, and we haven't had any issues with it shutting off power since we began using it.

Purchased this to work with my generator at my house for when power outages strike. Each plug is independently monitored for Voltage, Amperage, Wattage . . . very handy to know how much power is being pulled at various times with my refrigerator and freezer as well as the quality of the voltage.

This is really a great thing to have. I have a refrigerator and freezer in the garage. The cord on the refrigerator was too short for the place i want it. The provided help to combat the distance. It comes with things to help hang it on the wall so off the ground. Great addition to my household appliances,

We moved our old refrigerator to the garage and weren’t really sure what to do to make sure we weren’t pulling too much electricity or causing any issues since there seems to be a lot connected through the garage. We set this up and it has run perfectly.

I had to return the first one as it was defective. I decided to try another one because I liked it's features. Thankfully this one works properly. The inspection tag in the box means nothing. And there are very poor instrutions included.

Su capacidad de discriminación de voltajes es muy estricto. Brinda gran confianza y en circunstancias de mucha variación no permite excesos. Afortunadamente, uno puede deshabilitarlo para bajo riesgo personal, permitir que el aparato conectado trabaje a cualquier voltaje (bypass)… muy recomendable!

Para proteger el refrigerador… funciona ok
