Lester Summit Series II 36/48 Volt Golf Cart On-Board Battery Charger with 5/16-in Ring Terminals

Had a problem charging the cart batteries after I purchased the cart & charger from a neighbor. We thought it was one of the 8 volt batteries, then we tested the onboard computer but neither showed any issues. The batteries weren't being charged fully apparently, because by the time it took to get to the 14th hole, the cart would drop down to 2 miles per hour. Pretty embarrassing when you're playing a foursome. Anyway the new one I purchased from Car Partners was delivered damaged. This was disheartening to say the least. The plug was in pieces (see photo) and the box was slightly damaged, so I immediately contacted Amazon and the seller who responded very quickly via email to remedy the issue. Shipping was free to ship back and I received a new one in record time. It worked marvelously and I have not had a problem since. The batteries are fully charging now. I would definitely do business again with Car Partners. Great product and EXCELLENT customer support. HIGHLY RECCOMMENDED...!!!

This product was easy to install and works exactly as promised. My battery cart is always ready to go. Love it and the unit is totally waterproof so it rides on the cart. No more carrying the heavy remote charger out to the cart to recharge. Just finish for the day and plug it in. It charges and then tends to the batteries as necessary. A great step forward!!

Works fine, a little slow to charge. The original charger took less time to fully charge the golf cart, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with this charger, and it was much less expensive than the original replacement charger.

Works perfectly with my Club Car DS with OBC. Charger shuts off automatically when charge is complete like it is supposed to. The meter on it goes up to 20AMPs, which worried me, but I have non seen it go past 15a when charging. It does run a bit hot, but not as hot as my original charger, and it is larger and heavier than the original, which is why I am giving it 4 stars. I am running it with a 25’ 12AWG 15a rated extension cord that also gets hot near the female connector to the charger cord. It is an older cord, so I will replace it to see if that helps. This is an adequate replacement charger for any Club Car DS that has an On Board Computer.Update on 11/12/18.I have found this charger to be poorly made. First, after just 6 months the cord from the charger to the golf cart receptical needed to be replaced. The design of the A/C outlet on the charger is poorly designed. It is basically upside down, which causes strain on the power cord. It is now showing signs of wearing out. Finally, after just 9 months the charger no longer functions. The fuse pops everytime it is connected to my golf cart. DPI warrants the product for 3 years; however, the customer must pay for packing and shipping back to DPI for repair. It is very heavy and must be shipped out-of-state. The cost of shipping makes it not worth sending it in for repair. I am downgrading this to 1 Star. I would give it 0 if it were possible.

The charger works great HOWEVER it has a longer footprint. I had to elevate it by making a shelf on my club car to get it to fit front to back.

Nice to have batteries charging again, golf cart is back to work!
