Great little journals
I bought these to use as nature journals for my children and they’re working out well!

Nice quality.
Nice quality, well made, nicely packaged. The paper is thick enough that most felt tip pens do not bleed through to the reverse side. You can faintly see the image on the other side but it does not bleed through. The paper would not be suitable for water media. I am happy with them for the use I have in mind.

Great for homeschooling!
Such a great bundle of notebooks for an amazing price! We use these for preschool subjects and artwork! Super simple and great for customizing! Great size to travel with but not to thin & cheap! Love them!

Thick enough covers, thin inside pages
I should have googled for the paper weight of 80 gsm in pounds because it's only a little more than 20 lbs, which is about the same as standard thin copy paper. But good thick cover craft paper so it would hold up for short time use.

NOT for Fountain Pens.
I have to add to the reviews by stating very clearly that despite some other reviews this is absolutely NOT fountain pen friendly. While the paper is very smooth, the pen feels nice gliding across the page, and the feathering is minimal... but the bleed-through is terrible (see pics). I have tried this with a couple different pens and inks.I'm pretty bummed because my normally trusted source of A5 notebooks with beautiful paper (yep, Tomoe River) is currently out of stock many places with no certainty as to whether or not it'll continue. I use smaller notebooks for journaling, then stitch them all together in a hardbound book, but I don't think I will be using these and will have to use Apica, even though they are lined. However, these are nicely made and the price is pretty hard to beat, so if you are using them for different purposes they will be great. Ball point, rollerball, pencils seem fine.
