The form-factor makes a good thing... great!
π¦π¨π π ππ₯π¬A simple LCD tablet is made better by a small form-factor and bezel-less design.π§ππ π§ππππ‘π’ππ’ππ¬This device uses a simple passive LCD tablet technology that is found in products like the Boogie Board and those countless drawing tablets for kids. Unlike the multi-color of those kiddie tablets, this screen has a single green color.π§ππ π¦ππ₯πππ‘I was initially skeptical in ordering this because of the negative reviews regarding their difficulty in reading the screen. But I bought one anyway and I'm glad that I did. This isn't a backlit active LCD. It needs a good ambient light to read what is on the screen. It is no worse than those other tablets. The "resolution" (if that's an applicable term here) of the screen seems to be higher than the kiddie tablet I bought off Wish or the "professional" full size version (with folio case) I bought on Temu. I am able to draw finer lines on this than those others. Even when swapping the styli around, this allows for finer details. (see attached photo)π§ππ π¦π§π¬ππ¨π¦The stylus is a decent size and weight that is well matched to the tablet. It is slightly thicker than the tablet itself, and the magnet is strong enough to keep it attached to the tablet when in a shirt pocket. I would definitely like the magnet to be stronger, but it serves the purpose.π§ππ ππ₯ππ¦π ππ¨π§π§π’π‘The erase button is on the back of the tablet. At first this seemed to be a bit odd, but after using the tablet for a while I appreciated the design decision. By having the button on the back, it allows the tablet to be bezel-less, and makes it less likely to accidentally press the erase button.π§ππ ππ’π₯π -ππππ§π’π₯This is one of the few tablets that comes in a size this small. Not having a bezel means that there is a surprising amount of space to write and draw. It is nearly identical in size to a smart phone and it fits comfortably in a shirt pocket. Super handy to take out and about.π¨π¦ππ¦I keep this on my desk with me and jot down numbers or other info for immediate and temporary reference (dimensions when designing graphics, contact email, etc.) When I go out, I tuck it in my shirt pocket for taking quick notes.I sometimes use the free eWriter Jot app to take a screenshot (it produces a negative of the image) for those things that I want to save.

Better than That Brand
I bought this and the Boogie board at the same time to test it out. I liked that this allowed for locking the screen and using the entire surface for writing. The writing pad is definitely not as bright as the stock pictures would suggest. It's pretty much unreadable in a dimly light room but I can see it easily enough in a well light one. I ended up keeping this and returning the Boogie board because the Boogie board wasn't any lighter and looked more like a toy than a writing pad. This pad pretty much has no bezel either so it really does feel like writing on a pad of paper. The handwriting is very pen-like. Similar pads have wider, less crisp handwriting but with this, the writing is sharp, allowing you to write smaller and more detailed notes. The ability to lock the screen is great for when I write a reminder or a note to read later. This is a handy notebook to keep in a purse or in the car for quick notes. The screen erases quickly and completely and the pen strokes are thin, crisp, and can be seen easily in bright or natural light.

Impressive little writing gadget
I write a LOT of notes and lists at work, so I was going through a ridiculous number of notepads. So I thought I'd give this thing a try. Overall I'm very happy with it. It's kind of a novelty but also very useful.PROS:There is a lot of writing space. I can usually work through a whole week's worth of notes and lists before I run out of space. The stylus (or whatever you use) writes cleanly and concisely with the promised thin lines. The stylus attaches to the side via a magnet and seems to stay pretty well. You can use pretty much anything with a hard point to write, but you'll get varying degrees of line thickness. It really does resist stray marks from just touching it with your fingers. I took it home to work one day, sandwiched it between my laptop and the bag wall, and there were no extra marks on the 'screen'.It came with an extra battery.I'm definitely saving paper. It's a sturdy surface, so you don't need to put it on anything solid to write. I often take notes on it in my lap at meetings.CONS:You have to erase everything at once. So if I make a list and cross things off, I take a picture, erase, and then rewrite the things that weren't crossed off.You do need good lighting. Writing shows up great at work. At home, where the lighting is not as good, it's a bit harder to see. Keep that in mind for wherever you'll use it.

Handy and intuitive
These LCD writings tablets are hard to come by. In stores, Boogieboard seems to own a monopoly on these things. They're pricey, have extremely wide bezels, and come in odd shapes (meant to appeal to kids most likely). And if you buy the knockoffs on Amazon, they often have weird, cheap screens that are quite unpleasant (almost aggravating) to write on. Imagine a soft, rippling, unsmooth, slightly gritty plastic surface that writes fuzzy.Moving on to the review. This little tablet has exceeded all expectations and surpasses the Boogieboard in so many ways. Amaretti makes the most of the screen/writing space, includes a lock feature, replaceable battery, bright neon writing, solid smooth writing surface, and the best feature has to be the pen itself. Nothing comes out fuzzy! In fact, writing comes out so sharp I can write extremely small sentences (or formulas) and read them with ease. I bought this for university and it has been excellent for quick notes I need to jot, or to drill myself on formulas. Thank you Amaretti, for making one of these LCDs that is actually worth buying. I just ordered a second one.
