Acctim CK0030 Large-Bell Alarm Clock - Brass, 16.5 x 12 x 5.5 cm

I have had this clock going for a while now and it keeps good time, there is an adjustment feature on the reverse which I've not had to use so far. It speeds up or slows down the clock. Ask your elderly relatives for instructions. I'm old already so I'm familiar with it. The clock looks nice, is not heavy, ticks loudly, which is what I wanted as I find it soothing and it helps me sleep, reminds my soul of my childhood perhaps. To me it's a proper clock. Very happy with my purchase.

A traditional clockwork (!) alarm clock. Brass effect, though quite lightweight. Face approx. 9cm diameter. Fluorescent green hand and hours markers. Needs to be wound daily, as alarm clocks always were. Alarm can be silenced or inactivated by moving a small lever that lies between the bells (this simply presses the hammer against one bell and prevents its oscillation). There are separate winders for the clock and the alarm but note that the main winder, which must be used daily, is quite close to the time adjustment knob. If this is a problem for those with larger fingers, however, I've discovered that the time adjuster can be removed simply by pulling it off its pin (it can be replaced with a firm push, 'though this isn't a design feature!). The clock ticks! This is quite a fast tick, unlike a wall or pendulum clock but I quite like the regular sound as I drift off to sleep. The alarm should wake all but the heaviest of sleepers. All in all, a great alarm clock.

i am the worst person for getting up in the world and i could never find an alarm that was loud enough to wake me up. Ive tried every kind possible. so i thought i would give this one a try. wow what an annoying alarm. its loud gets me up and annoys me until i turn it off, its perfect to get me up for half 5 for my work. perfect for me, really loud, if it gets me up ill get you up. excellent product. 5*.

Looks nice. Nice tick main reason for purchase, stops from time to time for no reason as it is wound faithfully. If you want a nice ticking sound for your bedroom this is a reasonable buy. August 2015 stopped working for no apparent reason - disappointed less than a year old

Unreliable, constantly loses time, an unpredictable amount. I tried many different adjustments, and winding at different times, and checking it was on the level. But nothing worked. By the time I had tried everything, it was 'too late' to return it. But the seller's policy is illegal, and they deliberately don't allow users to thoroughly test it. They know that they are selling rubbish. It is not expecting much to expect a clock to tell the correct time (within a few minutes) and not to stop at random intervals. Buyer beware. I will probably consult a lawyer, but can't really be bothered. They just get away with being rubbish.

It does the job, but so difficult to wind , this is my third clock like this in 40 odd years, as they have very good rings ☺️

I saw this beautiful clock and thought to myself 'yes, this is the one for me - classic design, wind up, proper bells and a tick!' I love a ticking clock, the tick......tock......tick.....tock, gently moving in time with my resting heartbeat, gently lulling me into restful sleep. Sounds perfect, yes? Not this clock though! oh no! This clock will make you feel like you are having a panic attack - the tick....tock....tick....tock is not gentle or lulling or in rhythm with any heartbeat - the tick tock of this clock is more ticktickticktickticktickCLUNKtickticktickCLUNKtickCLUNKtickticktickticktickticktickticktickCLUNKticktickCLUNK and so it goes on and on and on all night long - the CLUNKS are random though, so don't expect to find them predictable in order to ignore them, no, they will lull you into a false sense of security and just as you are finally getting used to the very fast (around 200 per minute, I didn't actually count them as I was too busy trying to get my resting heartbeat under control again) it CLUNKS again, causing a heart skip and your dog to start growling at the clock. In the end I was forced to open my bedroom window and hurl said clock into the garden. Where it continued to tickticktickticktickCLUNK like The Tell Tale Heart. I have always slept with my bedroom window open, as I love the sound of the little river that runs through my garden and to be woken by the sounds of the birds waking up and can only recall having to close it once in over 15 years, when the temperature here dropped to -27C and I felt chilly, but last night, my bedroom window was closed to try to drown out this clock. So, there you go - I do not like this clock.

Nice vintage looking clock with a very loud alarm. Wind up, so no impact on the environment from discarded batteries (just don't forget to wind it!) Once fully wound, the clock will run for 2-3 days before it needs doing again. I had to adjust the regulator to get it to keep time, but now that I have, it's perfect. One possible issue is that it does have a loud tick. That's fine for me, I find it rather comforting, but light sleepers might find it a little intrusive.

I have seen a number of negative comments about this product which I think are unwarranted and can be simply put down to people not knowing how these clocks work. The first thing I will say that it is a mechanical clock that requires lubrication to work correctly and as the demand for these clocks is generally low due to modern technology, these clocks can sit in their boxes for months on end with no movement with their oil drying out causing inaccurate time keeping. The first thing you need to do with any mechanical clock like this which is new is whip out your can of wd-40 and lubricate the mechanism. In relation to this clock, use the can with the red straw and spray it in the holes. Wind the clock and leave it run for a could of days, then you can use it as normal making sure to adjust the speed with the lever at the back. Long gone are the days when you walked in to a shop and received a maintained and serviced mechanical clock. After lubrication, mine worked perfectly fine. I knocked a star off because of the plastic winders and knobs at the back, would have preferred metal.

Sveglia di buona fattura, considerando il prezzo di vendita. Meccanica a carica manuale, presenta un ticchettio non troppo molesto al quale ci si abitua facilmente, fino a non essere più percepibile. Tuttavia sconsigliata per chi pretende assoluto silenzio. Il suono è molto forte, impossibile non svegliarsi. La precisione deve essere controllata, all'inizio, attraverso l'apposito correttore sul retro. Nel mio caso anticipa di circa 6 minuti ogni 5 giorni. Ovviamente occorre ricordarsi di caricarla, possibilmente alla stessa ora. Le chiavette retrostanti sono di plastica, quindi occorre prestare attenzione a non forzare la carica.

Joli réveil en métal très classique à mécanisme à remontoir conforme à la tradition.Sonnerie efficace.Depuis un mois donne l'heure sans variation notoire( 1-3 min/jour). Je recommande.
