The birds are using it so that’s all I can say.

This feeder seems to be doing its job at keeping the large birds at bay, including the starlings. So far I have only seen one sparrow use it somewhat tentatively, but at least the food is lasting a bit longer. With the other feeders, the starlings and pigeons would eat the lot within a few short hours! However, I can find no clear instructions anywhere about how to dismantle the feeder for cleaning and there is already moldy food gathering at the base.

Having read other reviews about this feeder being starling proof, I can confirm that it is!!! No assembly required. Easy to clean. Filled with mealworms. And purchasing another for seed. The starlings visit my bird table so not entirely unfed.

The size of the cage is really good and it does a great job of blocking bigger crows and jackdaws while allowing smaller tits and sparrows to access the feeder.The feeder is only loosly attached to the lid and hanger by a loop of wire, I found that this is easy to detach as the feeder shakes about in the wind or if birds try to rattle it loose. I was able to fix it by adding my own hanging string and using a bit of wire to firmly attach the lid.This is so close to being an amazing design, if only they fixed the hanging mechanism it would be 5*

Needs a redesign

The sparrows now use this as a little fort in our garden, safe from interference from any bigger birds. It's well worth paying for this feeder.

good seed feeder

Great item, problem I had was starlings robbing all my food from even squirrel proof feeders, not now!! They can't reach the feed holes, hahaha,!!! They get bored trying and disappear, brilliant, well made guys
