These TERRO Outdoor Liquid Ant Bait Stakes solved my ant problem quickly. They were easy to place around the outside of my house, and within a couple of days I noticed a significant drop in ant activity. After about a week, the ants were completely gone. I like that the stakes are weatherproof and come ready to use, so there's no mess or mixing involved. The design keeps the bait protected while allowing ants to carry it back to the colony, which seems to be much more effective than just spraying the ants you can see. If you're dealing with outdoor ant trails or ants getting into your home, these bait stakes are definitely worth trying. I'd buy them again without hesitation.

We were invaded by little tiny ants in three different areas - bathroom, basement and outside by the stray cats food bowl. Deployed these and sure enough within two weeks the ants were gone: inside and out. Very effective. I put this under the cats house so she couldn't reach it, but the ants could. So these are pretty safe if you don't have little kids around. Easy to install; just cut the top w scissors hold upright until you place it on a level surface, and easy to clean up after; just pick it up by the back, hold it upright so any liquid left is at the bottom and toss. Way cheaper and safer than spraying toxic fumes or having a pest control team come out.

Wow. This stuff was a game changer. Various sprays and Home Defense didn’t solve my ant problem in the long term. I put these around my deck and in 12 hours the ants were gone without a trace ! Neat. Clean. Affordable. Great product. Easy to use

The TERRO liquid ant baits for outdoor use do an okay job overall, but they don’t feel quite as effective as they could be. They work, just not as aggressively or consistently as you might expect if you’ve used TERRO products indoors or had really stubborn ant activity outside. On the positive side, the stakes are convenient and easy to use. You simply place them in the ground near ant trails, entry points, or areas where ants are active, and you’re done. There’s no mixing, no mess, and no guesswork. The design keeps the bait protected from rain and pets, which is important for outdoor placement. Having 12 stakes in the package also gives you flexibility to cover multiple problem areas around the yard, patio, or foundation. The liquid bait does attract ants, but not always as quickly or aggressively as hoped. In some spots, ants found the bait fairly fast and activity picked up around the stakes. In other areas, it took much longer for ants to show interest, and some stakes seemed to be mostly ignored. When ants do feed on it consistently, you do see a reduction over time, but it’s more gradual than dramatic. Effectiveness feels a bit hit or miss depending on the ant type and location. It helps reduce visible activity, but it doesn’t always feel like it fully wipes out the colony. In my experience, you may need to reposition stakes, use additional treatments, or be patient longer than expected to see meaningful results. It’s helpful as part of an overall ant control strategy, but it may not be strong enough on its own for heavier infestations. Build and formulation quality are fine. The stakes hold up well outdoors, don’t leak, and are easy to remove or relocate. They also last a reasonable amount of time before needing replacement, which is good for ongoing control rather than a one-time fix. Overall, these TERRO outdoor ant baits are useful and do provide some level of control, but they aren’t a miracle solution. They work best for light to moderate ant problems and when ants actively take the bait. With stronger attraction or faster colony impact, they could easily be a five-star product. As they are now, four stars feels fair.

These are great - they attract a ton of ants. I used them in my yard near my front door because ants were all over my front patio and occasionally trying to come in my front door in the cracks. After using them I noticed the ants disappeared within two weeks.

Worked like a charm. Had been dealing with literally an underground nest at the entrance of our building for 3 years. Nothing was working and was ready to call an expensive exterminator. Found these and within a day the ants were gone. It’s been a few months and not a single ant! Highly recommend this product.

If you have problems with ants in your home, even the random ones that don't trail properly, these stakes will help tremendously. Kitchen ants, bathroom ants, random ants... they all go away when I put these around the foundation of my home. My gripe is on this order there were only 8 stakes in my box marked 12. I'm not in the mood to initiate the return process and wait again for the next box to come. I don't get many days off from work, so I'll settle for having 8. My house does best with at least 6 installed, and I hoped to have the second set of 6 waiting for when the first run out.

I have the ant bait traps for inside but needed something for the outside! Then I saw these! I ordered TWO boxes so I have enough to put around the vertical planters and the porch. I was sick of bringing big ants in the house when they deliver my boxes to the porch and the ants are hiding under the boxes. There is no odor, they are in a plastic material thing you cut part of the top off and stick the pointy part in the ground - seems they will be durable if you don't step on them of course. There is sticky stuff inside so wear gloves and then still wash well. They are safe if put them where kids and pets don't play. The inside ones worked in 2 days the ants were GONE. I'm hoping these work as well outside and being in the weather. They seem like they'll be durable out there.
