Excellent Quality and Hard Wearing
This is the third 5L tin of this that I have bought, the last two were for my garage/workshop and worked just great with the floor sealer. This time I've ordered it for my shed floor which is currently being built and I know that I can use this with confidence. I do like the Blackfrier products and this one is certainly one of the best. Just follow the directions and you'll be happy.

drying time be careful
brilliant colour for my new studio project covered well i had already used pva sealant on the floor so although the company said use its own solvent based sealant i bucked the trend and put a thinned out coat on the floor about 25%white spirit and 24 hours later put a second thick coat on and one day later one more coat it looks good and clean the reason i say in headline be careful this product stinks the place out for a week while it cures i did not walk on it or touch it for a week this is very important it hardens and cures in that time

Difficult to work with
Texture is jelly like even after you mixed it well. Does not adhere to medium fibre roller, hence needs to be applied with paintbrush. Good, even, smooth finish. Difficult to apply due to texture, and you really need to work it in, otherwise will not cover nooks and crannies. Manufacturer states 1litre covers 12-14m2. In reality that is more like 5m2/litre. Curing time is significantly longer than stated by manufacturer in cooler conditions. The temperature has been 11-15 celsius, took 24 hours for touch dry and needs a week to walk on. However, needs at least two coats to create an even finish with good colour consistentcy. The overall results are good though. Only time will tell how long it lasts.

Good quality floor paint
I did a bit of research before buying this. There are lots on the market but Blackfriars seemed to have the edge. I didn’t go for the pre-treatment as it almost doubles the total cost for a big floor. It covers well and is easy to use. It is quite potent, I wouldn’t advise using it too long in a confined space. Great finish and fairly durable for normal treatment. I’ll be buying another tin to finish off a double garage and have some spare to touch up when required. Recommended.

Garage floor now looks great!
Primed the floor and then applied two coats of this, came out a treat! stops all the concrete dust and is far cheaper than a resin

Slippery when wet
I did not like the fact that it may be slippery when wet It was to be used on a patio which sloped down towards a large fish pond It was also going to be used on a door step This information was on the tin NOT on the website This product was so thin it did not cover any blemishes so it is not fit for purpose

Glad I bought this
Used a whole 5L to cover my roughly 18m sq garage and I am very pleased with the result. Provided good coverage and in some places I might have been able to get away with a single coat.Warning: the tougher the surface the longer it will take to paint so make sure you brush/hoover as much as possible before application. Sand / dust was absorbed into the paint but it did make it very thick and increased the time I spent working into all the groves etc (mainly on the first coat). This stuff isn’t cheap but then again no quality garage paint will be and certainly not as expensive or complex as 2 part epoxy alternatives. I sealed the floor with a sealer from Selco which cost rough £20-25 for 5L. Sealer needs to be solvent based not water based e.g PVA type stuff.
