I LOVE this Buzbug ZAPPER. Within a few minutes, it's already Zapping... !!!.
UPDATE: October 1, 2024 -- It's starting to get cool last night, so although there are still about a dozen Mosquitos hanging off of vertical surfaces this morning, the Buzbug zapper did get about another half-dozen more Mosquitos, overnight. The UV LED's are great, not only attracting small moths, flying beetles, a kind of Black Gnat, but also the Mosquitos, it's not too bright to the Human Eye, so my neighbors have not complained about it's brightness. Halloween's coming, end of this month, so we'll see whether Climate Change has had any effect on our Weather here. I do go out of my way to be sure there are no Pools of Water anywhere for the Mosquitos to Lay Eggs and Breed, to produce more of them. We have Wild Cotton Tail Rabbits and Coyotes here too, so even if the Mosquitos cannot Drill/Bite me, they do go after anything that emits Body Heat, CO2, and has Red Blood, to Bite them (they Drill into their Eye Lids), and same thing with Snakes too (emit CO2), to Suck Their Blood, to get the Blood Proteins needed for their Eggs to Develop into Egg Rafts they lay in any Pool of Water. Only takes a Tablespoon Full of Water to get their Eggs developing into "Wigglers". So far, the Weather's contined to be quite Dry,. hopefully staying that way into Winter. I'm quite happy with the Buzbug ZAPPER. Reliable, and zzzzzzzzzzzzzzap... !!! The outer metal cage keeps the Bigger Flying Insects out, so I haven't had anything Big, get Stuck and Cooking Away. It's also a Safety Device, preventing any Electrical Shocks from handling. This is a very well Engineered Product, using High Quality Materials, Good Construction Practices, Cardboard Boxed, Bubble-Padded, and Packaged to survive Amazon Prime's SAME DAY Delivery Service. . It's a Higher Quality Product, made for a Long Life of Great Service, and I'm still rating it, "S-STARS"... zzzzzzzzap... !!! UPDATE: September 30, 2024 -- Ordered a 2nd Unit!!! It's now FALL, but still Full of Flying/Biting Mosquitos, so since this has done such a Great Job killing anything and everything Flying Around inside my home, I've decided to get a 2nd Unit, with Amazon Prime's Great, Same Day FAST DELIVERY. Mosquitos are flying around even in the Daytime, so they must be Very Hungry to Suck My Blood and this will prevent that, and Kill Them DEAD... !!! Arrived ON TIME, thank you Amazon Prime. I've just set it up, outside my Side Door Entrance Way, Works PERFECT, UV LED's and all, so, we shall see, tomorrow morning, just how many of those Blood-Sucking Buggers got ZAPPED... !!! I'm so happy with the FAST DELIVERY, just a few hours. Thank you, Amazon PRIME. For this "Buzbug" Unit, I like the expected 30,000+ hours Operational Life of the LED UV Visual Radiators to attract 5 kinds of Flying Insects, which I'm hoping will kill the Mosquitos flying around in my house. It's been real hot last week, and I noticed there are a lot of Mosquitos flying around my Car Port, BITING ME as I walked from my car, to my Back Door, and a few even managed to follow me into my house, and are BITING ME inside my house. THAT motivated me to Find, Buy, and Install this "Buzbug" Zapper inside my house tonight, and it's already, within minutes of "Turn-On", doing it's Job... Zaaaaap... !!! Music to my ears. I can hardly wait until tomorrow morning to see just how many Unwanted Flying Insects got Zaaaaaaped... !!! If it's as good as I'm hoping, I'm going to Buy and Setup another one in my Carport, for those Bloodsuckers out there. I shall Update this Review tomorrow morning,. Until then, please, Standby for NEWS. UPDATE: Monday, September 23, 2024 - I think my house has run out of Mosquitos, as I haven't seen any get zaaaaaap'ed in the last week or so. Yesterday, was the First Day of FALL 2024, and it's gotten quite cold outside. I don't see any more Mosquitos, so my Buzbug Zapper's been only inside my house, killing the last of some kind of very small flying Black Gnats, about 1mm - 2mm in size, that I think managed to get in past my window screens. I'm keeping all my windows closed, because it's cold, and the Buzbug Zapper's been snappping away, killing off the remaining Black Gnats still inside. I leave it on 24/7, to kill the daytime fliers too. It's becoming less and less kills, so I am very pleased with this Buzbug KILLER protecting me. At 30,000+ lifetime hours, being "ON" 24/7, should last another 3+ years, for pennies of AC Power Cost. I even like the Purple UV Color telling me it's "ON DUTY" too, so that's an additional benefit. :o)

Love this bug killing light, amazing! Snap, crackle, pop, fried crispies!
Let me just say I love this bug killing machine! We recently have had a swarm of these pesky little flys in our condo for nearly 3 weeks. We have tried to lure them with peanut butter to land on fly paper and hanging bug traps but it hasn’t helped. I think I caught just one fly on the fly paper. We have tried to cover all the possible places they might be getting in, but they seem to have multiplied. But that all changed as of today. I ordered the light last night, and it arrived bright and early this morning. I plugged it in and within the first 15 minutes it had already started to do it’s job. We started to hear the delightful loud popping sound of a fly being electrocuted. It is music to my ears, in fact, I nearly laugh with joy every time I hear that sound. It is a bit alarming, as you wouldn’t expect such a small insect to make just a loud noise with this light. But anyways I digress. So the one that I got was the LED light, and it’s also able to be used either inside or outside. It has a nice long 6’ cord, and also has an on/off switch on the top near the hanging loop. The LED is supposed to be more efficient with energy, and also claims to last 10 years. It also comes with a little cleaning brush to remove the dead insect carcasses that might get stuck to the light. It also has a nice pull out bottom tray, which is where the dead insects bodies collect. And as an added bonus, the purple light makes anything that is white have a cool purple hue to them when it’s dark. All in all this light is well worth the money, as it does exactly what it says it will do, which is eliminate flying insects. I will be getting another one for outside, to spread the joy and listen for that loud popping noise of another flying insect going down!

Works great both as a bug zapper and an indoor nightlight
Works great as a late-night nightlight and also does really well controlling flying pests that can get into your house. I have this hung in my living room. I hung this in my living room, initially to help get rid of a gnat/drainfly problem. Now that problem is gone and I still have it there. Not only does it make a great area light (the purple glow is nice and soft for nighttime illumination), I occasionally still hear it zap things I didn't even know had gotten in. I've found a couple of dead wasps when emptying the tray, that's a plus in my book. It also looks really nice. Doesn't stand out much at all, just hangs there and does its job.

LED light only lasted about 1 year, not 10 as advertised
bought July 2023 light went out December 2024 well so much for the advertising 10 year life, can't find a replacement bulb, it says they last so long not needed, wrong, I do like how well is blows the mosquitos to bits with a satisfying snap, makes me smile every time I hear it, knowing it is the demise of another malaria carrying mosquito. would probably give 5 star if it actually lasted 10 years, I will still order another one, maybe better luck next time. 2025 01 The company contacted me, and said bulbs are not replicable, but will take my advice to make them replaceable in the future, and they sent me a new replacement complete bug zapper, I also ordered 2 more of them, as I do like how loud it snaps, letting me know it was killing insects, some people may not like the sound but I do, it is satisfying to me. I guess for the people that like quiet, use a poison spray. so the company does back up its product, so I will give it a better rating.

I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS IS HAPPENING!!!!!!!!!
Hi! I am a bug. This bug light seriously upsets me. I sit here, shivering in fear as I hear my brothers and sisters fly into the lamp and ZAP.... I never see them again! They go into the light, and that's it!!!! GONE! I urge you to not get this, as we want to take over your home! But we can't seem to do so with this light! It makes homes bug free. BUG FREE!!!! CAN YOU IMAGINE!!!! I....I.... oh look at that purple glow...I....I must.....I must go.....I must go to the......ZAP!!!!!!!!! Woa, looks like someone started a review on this light on my PC, so I'll finish it! This bug light is great, and I highly recommend it. We somehow got infested with this strange moth thing and this beautiful light zaps them. We can hear it throughout the night, and each zap, I celebrate as these moths are annoying. It comes with a tray at the bottom so that the dead bugs do not fall upon the floor, but instead, fall into the tray bellow. Simply remove the tray, and dump it. I got this lamp on two different occasions, and just purchased two more, as my goal is to have one in almost every room. The first lamp I got lacked an on off switch, but had this neat lever that cleaned the bugs off the grill when you move it down. The light turned on as soon as it was plugged into the wall. The second one came with a brush instead of the lever. The second one has an on off switch. Besides those differences, both lights are identical. The light it gives off is similar to that of a black light, a purple glow, where bright items, like paper, white clothing, etc.. illuminate as if it was glowing. The zap is loud, but it's a bug zapper, so I expected it to be. This light works great and I highly recommend it.

Fabulous zapper
Worked so well I bought another! Very audible "crack!" when a bug is zapped (so much so, it startled us the first few times!) so you know it's working. Easy to clean tray underneath to empty crispy bugs (if they don't go flying from the zap!) & the cord is a great length for hanging this under our gazebo. It works just as well sitting on the floor as it does hanging & has a flat, stable bottom so as not to tip over easily. The outside grid protects fingers or nosy dogs from getting zapped but is big enough for large flies to enter, but small enough to keep beneficial dragonflies out. Great UV bug-attracting light. Coming up on peak bug season, hence the 2nd order. We have 1 inside & one outside to cover our bases. Great value product!

Good zapper
So far, so good. I've had it for a year or something now, and it seems to be doing it's job. We have a big problem with mosquitoes sneaking in our back door, so we have this in the room. Mosquitoes still bug us, no pun intended, but we have fewer issues than before. I had a regular bug zapper with a bulb before this and it only lasted six months and not even changing the bulb would save it, so that was wasted money, but this one is still going strong. The light isn't very bright, so that can be good or bad, depending on your circumstances. Anyway, I'd recommend it. Update: We've had it just a little under 2 years and the LEDs are burning out. It started with a little flickering at the top and has just continued to migrate lower, so now only about 15 to 20% of the LEDs are working. It's too bad, it worked pretty well.
