Hello . It's a waste of money, as it doesn't work ! I recommend the juwel bio boost tablet, if you want something to start off a new aquariums filter . I've tried both . You still need a minimum of 30 days for it to work though . I default to a fish less cycle now . I use a bio boost tablet plus ammonia solution . Hope that helps .

My aquarium is small at only 10L. How much do i use and how do i measure such a small amount? Its less than 1ml !!

I have 24l and it works out as 0.75ml I use a 1ml pipette which has lines every 0.25ml (eg 0.5ml will be ideal for you its a bit more then the "dose" but it's closer then using over double what you need)

Do you need to add ammonia as well as this product for a fishless first time cycle?

No just food or water from another tank will do Just keep an eye on the ammonia level it will eventually settle down

Will this help a small spike in ammonia ive dobe complete water change and have slight ammonia level

This product will help the growth of good bacteria in your filter which will control ammonia but this will take some time. If your having spikes in ammonia regular water changes of between 10 and 20 percent will help reduce ammonia.

I had an issue with Ammonia in my 240L tank for several weeks, couldn't seem to lower it with water changes etc. Used this follow the directions and the ammonia level dropped to zero in less than a week.
