I’ve had this for almost 3 years and I love it. No noise and the mist is a consistent stream. Since I use this almost 24/7 I’ll tell you over a time period the plastic warps so it’s hard to put the top on after filling it. I’ve had to force the top on and just fill it using a funnel. But again I’ve been using it Alamo’s 24/7. For me, once I fill it and put it to on rather than the time functions, it turns off automatically still after almost 3 years of daily use. It has a good variety of color choices too.

I rated this a four star despite the impact on air quality, which would be the case for all diffusers not just this brand. It works exactly as advertised - open the lid, add water using the included measuring container, add 10 drops or so of oil and wait a few minutes for the resulting great smelling fragrance being dispersed in the air. Plus, even though it is plastic, it looks really close to teak wood and the tear drop shape looks really cool. And the added bonus is the lighting at the very top where the fragrance is dispersed, which allows you to select color and intensity or turn completely off. It looks very cool at night. The oils that are included seem to be very good quality and there are many to choose from. Of course, you can purchase oils from many sites if you are looking for a fragrance not included which I did. As I mentioned above, the only issue is the impact on air quality in the room. I started noticing a bit of allergy related symptoms after using it, so I turned on my air quality monitor, and was shocked to see the PM2.5 and PM10 levels were about triple what they normally are. To be sure, the next day I turned the air monitor on before turning the diffuser on and within an hour the PM levels both went from "good" to the low end of "acceptable". And the PM 2.5 went from 11 up to 45 with a similar result on the PM 10. So I'll really limit use of it or perhaps discontinue using altogether. Just something to be aware of. And to be clear, this would be the same with any diffuser due to the fact they are disbursing something into the air. Hence the nice smell.

Upgrade Note: After giving this diffuser a few weeks of its fair trial -- I set it daily/nightly and only turn the unit off while I was sleeping or leaving home -- I am exceptionally satisfied with its quality performance, so I go ahead and give it my 5-star overall rating (from previous 4-star rating). Now, I'll see how long this product lasts ... Decent diffuser that works well is hard to come by. Cheaper items are not necessarily good deal items. Earlier I bought an acceptable rating diffuser, but was quick to be disappointed with its performance since the ad was somewhat deceiving compared to its use. Within a few days the steam sizzled out, and I had to shop around again to find a better product. After comparing a few items, I ordered this 550 ml Aroma Diffuser since my room is pretty sizable. At the first trial, the steam was weak and not as expected; the CS was very quick, responsive and helpful, and suggested not to put too much water in the tank, which worked fine for now and I plan to keep it. The only gripe I have is, this tank design won't allow me to view its water level so at night I won't know whether there would be enough water to last until morning or not. I'd adjust my rating review, if necessary, as for now it's still too early to judge its quality performance in the longer run. So far, so good.

Ordered this diffuser for my classroom this year. So far it has been wonderful. My student love it and it comes with several different scent oils which is great. It was an excellent value for the price for the diffuser and the oils together. The faux wood design is nice. It lights up and the colors change and the mist is visible, it looks like a mushroom shaped volcano. Also came a small measuring cup to add the water to the diffuser. Can turn the light off is that something you don’t want. My student enjoy picking out the day’s scent each morning. Really like this product.

Really like the look, smell, auto shut off, and the color changing light. I appreciate the fact it comes with a variety of essential oils and it's quiet. However, I wouldn't buy it only for a bug deterrent. It's mid July, I haven't seen a mosquito on my porch all year. But, I have been plagued with horse flies. I read on line they don't like peppermint so I thought I'd try this. Within the first 2 minutes of it being plugged in, a horse fly landed on it AND a mosquito landed on my arm and bit me while the 'mist' was blowing toward me. I do recommend it for pleasure not purpose.
