I had been unhappy with the cases that opticians give you to protect glasses, as they always seem to end up buckling and going out of shape, when in normal use. Usually when put in a pocket, you inevitably end up leaning or sitting on them, at some point - then they don't shut properly and become unfit for purpose. So I was looking for something stronger and found this item on Amazon, which looked like it would do the job and at a very reasonable price.Having used this case for a few weeks now, it certainly looks like the answer and shows no signs of wear or damage. The case feels very solid, but is not too heavy. It feels much more sturdy that any of the cases given to me by opticians, which have buckled within a very short period of time. The closing mechanism is very strong and this also inspires confidence that this case will last. The brushed aluminium look of the item is quite "classic" and simple, with no logos or extraneous features - so it should be suitable for anybody and I would recommend this highly - especially at the current price on Amazon. A real "find".

I read the dims when I brough this, but when it arrived it is a very big glasses case, too big for my reading specs. It would suit aviator style sunnies so it has a purpose, just not what I was intending. I tend to wear wrap arounds, so this will probably just gather dust. The product is fairly good, the inside looks a bit delicate and I think the case will scratch easily, but its not expensive, looks good when new and will suit larger flat style glasses. Hinge works OK without cutting your fingers off. If I had read the detail more carefully rather than looking at the picture I an sure I would have been happy with this product

I was very pleased when this emerged from the jiffy bag: it's strongly built, nice and roomy, has lovely smooth contours and a strong snap-shut hinge.The last two of those features do cause a slight problem: it's a bit difficult to open the blighter! There's nothing to get hold of, and if (like me) you don't have strong thumbnails you might have a job on trying to prise it open. Maybe carry a screwdriver or a nail file...That said, I'd rather have something strong and secure than something my glasses will likely fall out of at a moment's notice. And it's such a beautiful object!

Been wearing specs for many many years so I've owned more than a few cases. I've had this one for almost a year now and it thrashes all the others. It looks good and has a very strong spring so the hinge stays tight and the case continues to open and close properly. Case springs often slacken off with time. The case is also as hard as nails; I've dropped it from table height onto a tiled floor several times and it remains perfect. Most importantly, my glasses are well protected. A tiny moan is in order because the interior lining has cracked along the hinge, but the lining itself is still perfectly in place. An excellent buy

So far so good. They arrived quickly and seem just the job. I wanted a new case for my driving glasses. I chose this case as it is quiet large and my glasses have large lenses and my reading glasses case is black so I can find out which glasses are which easily. They fit my driving glasses perfectly. The case seems well made and fairly strong. Put them in your jacket pocket and lean on them and it will undoubtedly dent. They seem well made but the metal is by necessity of a fairly thin gauge. Treat them properly and they should last OK.

These aren't brushed aluminium, as I seem to remember another review saying. They are a very fetching chromed effect.They feel sturdy, look great, and should see a lot of wear and tear as I bought two of them for sunglasses.I have every confidence in them.One thing I should say, is that being a shiny metallic finish, every sun-tan lotion greasy handprint is going to show up on here all day long. easily remedied, just wash with a bit of glass or metal cleaner and a soft cloth.

I have bought four of these to date (one at a time) 1 to replace the cheap one which came with my glasses, I was sufficiently pleased to buy a second so I could leave my sunglasses in the car, A third one to protect my glasses when I left them in the locker at the gym.Finally the fourth was to replace the first which I dropped whilst it was empty and open and it landed awkwardly straining the hinges so it no longer closes straight.Other than they are quite tough and a generous size.

The case is smart and tough, and the spring hinge is good, a very good glasses case, especially for large pairs.
